The Seitengrat isn't really that hard to get. Just take the airship from Rabanaste to Nalbina. The hardest part is getting the chest to spawn (1% chance), but just keep zoning in and out of the area until it spawns. May take a few minutes. May take a few hours, but it WILL spawn. The next part (manipulating the RNG) is easy. With the diamond armlet on, watch the kid running back and forth near the airship railing (should be on your left if facing the rear of the ship). Let him run his path 4 times. The second the gets to his dad the 4th time, open the chest. I know it sounds like BS, but it works. I've also seen several additional steps to this process that aren't necessary. Some say the chest will spawn if you close the game and restart, wait 20 seconds, leave the area and re-enter, or start a new game and use Rekks' cure spell to get specific numbers to manipulate the RNG. I have just obtained the seitengrat bow. It's amazing. After googling it, I followed a suggestion there a obtained it on my 2nd try. Takes about 9 minutes but it's at least 50% chance of getting it.
Great video as always. Just wanted to clear one misconception about the Seitengrat. "Your odds are set to 1 in 10,000 should you even happen to bump into the chest." That is not true. The 1 in 10,000 chance take chest spawn rate into consideration. If you do happen to bump into the chest while equipping the diamond armlet, you have a 1 in 100 chance it will be the bow. (20% chance it is actually an item and not gil, multiplied by 5% chance it is the bow and not a knot of rust should it be an item). In other words, multiplying the 1% chance of chest spawning, 20% chance of it being an item, and 5% chance it is a rare item yields: 0.01*0.2*0.05 = 0.0001 Or, 1 in 10,000 chance you get the bow every time you enter the zone.
I was actually able to get 7 Zodiac spears in a little more than an hour and a half. I used a weird method where I was in the Henne mines/Special charter shaft area. What I did was clear out all enemies in the stairways up to the cave entrance. Then I switched to having only one party member with the diamond armlet. I would enter back into Phase shaft 2 area then go back into the previous area immediately. As soon as you enter the area, you must keep running nonstop for this to work. As you run around the first corner where the path splits, you may notice a chest on the right side of the screen in the corner. Try to spin the camera as you run so you can keep moving while you search the corner. If the chest is not in the right corner then immediately run back into the phase 2 area and reenter. If it is there, DO NOT OPEN IT. Just keep running down the path and try not to bump into walls or corners. Run until you reach the top of the long staircase where the Zodiac chest will be. The chest will spawn in the middle section of the stairs on the right side. If it is not there then quickly head back the top. Before you reach the Phase 2 area, run up to the chest that was in the corner. If you open it and you get a knot of rust, dont close the word box and immediately close the application and go back to the home screen. If you get gil instead then repeat the process until you get the knot of rust. Once you start the game and go to the load screen, wait about 10 secs before you load your autosave. Once the game loads immediately hold down on the control stick to enter phase 2 area. Keep holding it so once it loads the new area, you'll quickly go back into the charter shaft area. Once it loads, start running back down towards the long staircase but as you run there remember to spin your camera to see if the chest is in the right corner at the first split. It should be there. If not then close the application and retry. As you reach the top of the stairs where the Zodiac spear is supposed to be, if the chest isn't there then quickly head back to the first chest. Remember that you will need to be running nonstop and spinning your camera so you can get good angles. Once you reach the chest, open it. You may get another knot of rust or a random amount of gil. If you do then close the application again and restart the process. If you open it and you get 482 gil, then you hit the magic number. Leave the area into Phase 2 again then immediately reenter the charter shaft. Now all you have to do is run down to where the Zodiac spear chest is and it will spawn there. I noticed this by accident. The Zodiac spear chest will only spawn when there is a chest in the right corner when you first enter the area. Also the 482 gil number was always shown right before getting the spear. Just remember that when you see 482 gil, don't restart, reload, or close the application. Just simply leave the room then reenter then go to the spear chest. Also as a side note, I turned off my gambit so I wouldn't use any auto skills like Libra after the enemies were defeated.
Extra detail about the Seitengrat, it also has an extremely fast fire rate. Give the wielder haste and berserk, and they are practically a walking Submachine gun
@@blackwidow7804 According to the DPS calculator, Wyrmhero Blade + White Robes + Genji Gloves is the highest damage you can do in the game. But that's only for single-target enemies, it's not good for multiple mobs.
you can get blood sword really early in trials mode. If you get to trial 3 and steal from the flowering cacturite theres a small chance that it will give blood sword. i just got mine a few hours ago. Also its called the kar something or other (i forget the exact name but it's a blood sword). Pretty obvious but only knights can use it
originally know as blood sword A, now it's karkata, and not only knights but if you give a samurai/bushi the zalera esper they get acess to the karkata too
I got a Karkata instead of getting a Blood Sword, and I stole another one from trying to get a Blood Sword again. So, I gave up on getting it since I now have two powerful swords.
I can't believe I was on this video 7 years ago and about to say the exact same thing about building the sunflower. It is my favorite thing. It's still my favorite thing. I never did do it again 7 years ago, because there was no Pirates den in the PlayStation 4 version of the game, but there is in the switch version. And so I decided, i'm going to play the switch version instead of final fantasy sixteen for some reason
there is one in the PS4 version aswell. involves loading an autosave on the deck, as soon as vaan loads in start a timer, when the timer hits 20 seconds zone out into the inside area and immediately zone out to the deck again. Then check if the chest is there, if not reload and try again, If yes look at the kid that is running along the railing. count the times he stops in the corner next to you. When he stops the 4th time and runs back to his parents, open the chest as soon as he stops infront of his parent and you should get the bow.
I'm replaying the game but have never gotten any of these weapons before. My current replay in the switch I am about to go to Giruvegan, but I am definitely stopping by and roaming cerobi steppe. Who knows, I might get lucky. Thank you!
I played the original FFXII when I was a kid, long time ago and I didn't quite like the way every character becomes "the same" by having the same license board. So I heard about the IZJS some time later, but never had the chance to played it. Some years past that, I had made friends with a guy on college that had a IZJS copy he bought during a trip to Japan. He lend it to me and I played it on PCSX2 (emulator). Funny thing is I got Trango Tower on my very first try, and I didn't even know it existed. I passed by the corridor and the little "!" popped up over Ashe's head. I examined the thing, and there was it. I got so confused by the fact that the sword didn't have a model I thought it was a bug, so I looked it up on the internet and I found out that the sword is super rare to get, and is intentionaly invisible. I guess I spent the luck of a lifetime on this one. LoL
In the original PS2 FFXII, I got the Zodiac Spear by chance in the Necrohol of Nabudis. I had no clue about the guide dang it chests til later on. And that was my first playthrough. Vaan became very overpowered after that point.
Thanks to the blessings of folks who figure out how to manipulate the RNG, theres now an easy and quick method for 100% drop rate (PS4 only) for the Seitengrat. I got it today and I thought I would never get to use it.
The obscure hoops you need to jump through and crazy low drop rates for these weapons and items reminds me of Dark Souls and Castlevania Symphony of the night.
I am going for all the weapons/armers and accessories in one playthrough plus all the summons. A long slow playthrough. Including low level grinding. I am using the exploits as I never used in the original to make playthrough as challenging as I can. The first time I skipped the later optional stuff but this time I am going for it so for most the time I will be over leveled as I started on level with Penalo and have just done one run with Dustie with 99x Phoenix downs and now at level 20. With the Flaming Staff and Mythil Blade equipped as there the most powerful weapons I can use at the moment. Mythil Blade is a good early game free slot weapon meaning everyone can use it regardless of job class
Wyrmhero blade>>Toursenol by a bit Wyrmhero has holy damage, and white robes augment holy damage regardless of an enemy being weak to holy. Its straight up just way more powerful, and with a genji glove will destroy anything, especially since it has auto bravery and can be berserked
Bob Sanders the Wyrmhero blade can be extremely deadly. The Tournesol is just faster and easier to acquire which makes it normally more practical to use.
Do you need to have diamond armlet equipped to increase chances? Also does the party leader have to be wearing it or can it be any member of the party?
You may have already found your answer since posting this comment, but it's not that the Diamond Armlet increases your chances, but that some of the best equipment that spawns from certain chests (like the Seitengrat mentioned in the video) will not even have a chance to contain the desired item. Bear on mind, though, that even with the Diamond Armlet equipped (only one character is necessary), there's still usually a very low chance you will actually get the item you want from that chest, and, even then, the chest it comes in will likely have a low spawn rate as well. This is where you may want to look into how people manipulate the game's RNG to essentially ensure you will get the desired item. I hope this helps.
I got both 1% Staff of the Magi and 1% Maxmillian from running through Necrohol of Nabudis on my last run, and i wasnt even looking for them at that point (was there for Bravery, Faith, and Shellga)
The original FfXIi, wyrm hero blade is OP, with 50% combo chance but down side is holy elemental. You can cheese yiazmat with this as it absorb holy element. Plus it got cute sfx
Any ideas on what the second best bow and one-handed sword are? I'd like to get the strongest possible but I don't have the patience to get those invisible ones. Also, could you mention the best way to get the Staff of the Magi? I don't fancy the 1% drop rate on Oversouls so what chests drop it?
Yes, you can only give limited amount if trophies to them. The amount of trophies distributed to them affects the resulting items they have on sale. So you need to choose which weapons and armors and accessories do you think are more important to you.
I actually like the fact that some of the weapons are damn near impossible to get. It will make it just that much more special if you did managed to get them.
Wholeheartedly agree, that's why they made it so difficult. Except that you can steal the Kartaka from the Flowering Cactoid in Trial Mode and then you get to keep it in the real version.
I dunno. I could understand if you have to defeat a difficult boss or to farm materials for crafting to obtain them, but randomly spawning chests that have an abyssmal chance of containing the ultimate weapons is kind of retarded imo.
its cool, but come on. invisible chests with 1% chance to drop, then having the diamond armlet equipped, then a 1% chance to be in the chest afterwords? come the fuck on, there isnt even any other chests in the area to incentivize finding a invisible chest in the first place, so only RNG abusers are gonna try to get it
The fact that they're invisible should be your indication that people aren't meant to go out and find them but just happen upon them by sheer chance, which is what happened, then those people spread the word on how they found it and the hunt was on for everyone else. If you don't want the game breaking invisible weapons, just don't get them. There are plenty more amazing ultimate weapons in the game that don't spawn in invisible chests. That's literally only the case for the Seitengrat, so you're making a big deal over nothing. If you actually watch and listen to the video, most of the weapons are obtained through farming materials and crafting them in the Bazaar, and can be stolen/looted from chests in late game areas.
I've heard there's a method of getting the bow, where you just need to make sure you bump in to the treasure chest, and there's an ncp/kid hanging around on the deck. When he goes to the corner he moves his arms a certain way, and as he's moving his arms you get a guaranteed bow.
just got trango tower by stealing from zodiark, i wasnt even trying to get it and was just going to get the serpentarius and move on, fortunately i died my first attempt at the fight and then got both serp and trango on 2nd fight.
Saying is the wrymhero blade isn't the strongest greatsword is a really roundabout way of saying you never used it. That combo rate isn't just higher, it's astronomically higher than any other weapon. You easily justify yourself saying the attack power is triple what it says in the item details considering you're almost garunteed a 2 hit combo at the minimum. Most times you're hitting 3 or more on each attack. It only hits once about as often as other weapons hit twice. The only downside to the wyrmhero blade is that you have to kill everything worth using it on to get it. By the time it's yours, there's nothing left to test it's strength on lol
Funny enough, it only took me two tries to get the Trango from Zodiark. The first time, I went in and was kinda stupid anyway, plus I wasn’t strong enough as well, so yeah. Second try, I was much better off level and power wise, and I managed to steal the trango.
I got the seingrat so easy the first tome the chest spawned i got it using the kid going back and forh method and on the 4th time you open it when he stops i still have the video on my ps4 i couldnt believe it i was tryig for shits n giggles when i got the game
i honestly dont see why people wouldnt run a black mage in either IZJS or zodiac age especially given how overpowered it is due to the removed 9999 damage cap, with the right setup a black mage could have virtually infinite MP
You know what's crazy, i got very very VERY lucky that i got the zodiac spear on my first playthrough back when i was still playing this in highschool 🤣
Actually these are really easy to get. RNG manipulation is super easy in this game (seriously just google how to guarantee these ultimates to drop). I personally hate this method of getting ultimate weapons because there's nothing rewarding about it. Be a lot better if these were rewards were for side quests or in hidden areas like earlier FF games.
Square, Square, Sqaure... Its like your torturing us with Pink Puff Tails all over again. At least this game lets you increase the speed which makes it so much easier for farming rare items. In fact this game has so many classic FF elements, I'm surprised Pink Puff Tails didn't make the cut.
You don't SOLELY need the White Mage job. You can get The license for Black Robes from the following jobs as well: 1) Bushi 2) Black Mage 3) Red Battlemage The Bushi is generally the best choice, given the mechanics if Ninja Swords.
Why so difficult?! I swear it’s easier to farm rare weapons off online games then this! YIKES! I’m wondering if there’s going to be a pop up purchase merchant to buy them for real cash in the game! X_X Added - I have no idea if I even want to try to get any of those, I think I’ll focus more on trying to grind down hunts and relearning how to play the game...it’s been years since I played this.
Jarl Wolfy just stick to oil and fire magic on Penelo you’ll be fine and then switch to scathe once more enemies start becoming immune to oil ( you can get scathe right before the second Gilgamesh boss fight and it can easily carry you through it )
ik this is old but wymhero blade is better against anything weak/nutral to holy because of its combo with the white robes my lvl 65 vaan with wyrmhero/robes/ grand helm/genji gloves hits at least 3 times per attack and all are over 14k. 20k if full hp, even higher when i berserk him
The main issue with that though is that the strongest enemy in the base game, not counting trial mode, absorbs holy, and what's the point if you can't use it in the fight where you'd need it the most?
Tournesol isn't that great imo, especially for what you need to go through to get it Best 1 handed swords is Karkata imo. Excalibur is the best greatsword imo (with White Robes) unless enemies are immune to holy. The endgame is littered with holy weak enemies. Wyrmhero Blade is far too slow and is a meme weapon because you get it after beating Yiazmat, and Omega lol. Holy Lance is the best spear (for the same reason as excalibur). Vrsabha 2nd because getting Zodiac Spear I'd annoying As for Yagyu Darkblade it's only use is like one battle...Yiazmat. Most endgame areas absorb dark so you get very little use out of it. Mina is way better outside of Yiazmat Masamune v Kumbha + Shield is a close call though but I'd still choose Masamune here As for poles Kanya is no doubt the best pole However the highest damage in the game comes from ardor + flame staff (especially with oil). It smashes everything on this list even on neutral enemies
Devs: *makes unique named weapons so players will want to research and learn about their history* Also Devs: *makes unique named weapons that they want players to research ridiculously rare so a large percentage of players will never know they exist and therefore will never be looked up*
Those invisible weapons were meant as debug weapons I think. You can oneshot most enemies with them, dead giveaway. And how, without people mining the database, and sharing on internet, people would never know those weapons even existed.
I got the Staff of the Magi once and after I looked at the stats, I said "Nope NEXT!" and sold it - Now I don't even waste my time. Since I pair my magic using jobs with physical attacking jobs and the physical attacking job weapons tend to have much better stats - Like my Knight is also a Black Mage and another character is a Black Mage and an Archer and the bows all have better attack power than any of the staffs and all the knight's swords are better than any of the staffs - Now I'm not talking about early stuff like "Bow" and "Broad Sword" or "Long Sword" but I mean like "Save the Queen", "Claymore", and "Elfin Bow", "Burning Bow", or Saggitarius even. Since I added Archer, I noticed that any Staffs have a minus in the weapon shops and same for my knight too. I'd love to find the other ultimate weapons but I don't feel like stressing myself out lol
Spent hours researching how to get Seitengrat for my more mature playthrough attempts of FF12 :) Back then I didn't even know of this item. Finally found the vid with the FF Helper thing. Took 5 minutes after download until first Seitengrat and 10 more minutes for 2 more. Basically some cool person wrote a little program, that let's you see two values in the game's RNG. If you click at the right time, it will be the RNG value to obtain Seitengrat 100%. Sadly I played the game like 1 hour after that until everything felt pointless. Literally every enemy and boss just dies right away. The weapon has no ingame model ("invisible weapon"...) and no sound FX. It's worse than the turbo mode... Cheats ruin the fun of a game. Nothing feels epic anymore, everything is just a rush through so I can go sleep fest... I still felt the FFXII love tho and started a new game after abandoning my level 40+ chars at the end of the Phon coast. This time I went for new game [-] and play through with level 1 chars. Although I went for a Karkata/Bloodsword A in trial mode just in case. Still gotta farm all the license points and should be a harder, more thought-through playthrough. Overall, FF12 is just an ultra solid game. Having a great time with it, as with every FF part so far (except 13, but giving it another chance soon). But cheat functions shouldn't be part of a retail game. If you really want the cheats, there will be ways to find on it's own little adventure. But just enabling them in the retail version of a game seems kinda lame... I was happy to play through my favorite FF part again and I ended up turbo moding through the license bord with ultimate weapons around the Lhusu mines :( Even trial mode is just... Why?

SuperLordPedro more like they didn't have time to make models for debug weapons so they just made them invisible.

All they'd really have to do is color swap some other weapons and make them somewhat transparent.

If there is one thing I don't miss about JRPGs it's the insanely convoluted process or low chance of getting ultimate weapons.
I don't recall this being an issue in JRPGs as a whole. It's strictly a Final Fantasy thing.
It is a final fantasy game, it's a way to separate the people who want to play all day and enjoy it or speedrun and move on

Great video as always. Just wanted to clear one misconception about the Seitengrat.
"Your odds are set to 1 in 10,000 should you even happen to bump into the chest."
That is not true.
In other words, multiplying the 1% chance of chest spawning, 20% chance of it being an item, and 5% chance it is a rare item yields:
0.01*0.2*0.05 = 0.0001
Or, 1 in 10,000 chance you get the bow every time you enter the zone.
Halaitsame or you can have your odds be 100 out of 100 with rng manipulation.
Golden Axe ftw. One of the first games I ever completed.
Brayden ditto bro!! and Contra
I mean that’s awesome for you, but that takes ALL of the fun out of the game for me. It’s work at that point.
I ran into the golden axe on my first playthrough :D Not that I even used a foebreaker...
Extra detail about the Seitengrat, it also has an extremely fast fire rate. Give the wielder haste and berserk, and they are practically a walking Submachine gun
Excalibur + White Robes > Tournesoul. And its even more deadly vs holy weak monsters. Thats why Knight + Bushi is such a great combination.
Isn't the Wyrmhero Blade also Holy-elemental?
@@civilwildman yeah but its slow as fuck but it have high combo chance. Still a great weapon.
Pretty obvious but only knights can use it
monkeyswag57 Got it on my first try lol. Currently farming lp to equip it.
originally know as blood sword A, now it's karkata, and not only knights but if you give a samurai/bushi the zalera esper they get acess to the karkata too
I got a Karkata instead of getting a Blood Sword, and I stole another one from trying to get a Blood Sword again. So, I gave up on getting it since I now have two powerful swords.
Very accurate. I've made 2 turensol swords. It's my favorite and just wrecks enemies. I love it
I can't believe I was on this video 7 years ago and about to say the exact same thing about building the sunflower. It is my favorite thing. It's still my favorite thing. I never did do it again 7 years ago, because there was no Pirates den in the PlayStation 4 version of the game, but there is in the switch version. And so I decided, i'm going to play the switch version instead of final fantasy sixteen for some reason
with almost impossible chance to get the chest that spawns that has a near impossible chance to be in the chest I must ask. wyd is the point?
in the PS2 version, there was a way to have a 100% chance of getting the ultimate bow, that people used to farm them and use them in speed runs.
AnimeSquirrel who the hell wants to use an invisible weapon. That sounds stupid to me. I like to see my weapon.
there is one in the PS4 version aswell. involves loading an autosave on the deck, as soon as vaan loads in start a timer, when the timer hits 20 seconds zone out into the inside area and immediately zone out to the deck again.
Then check if the chest is there, if not reload and try again, If yes look at the kid that is running along the railing.
count the times he stops in the corner next to you. When he stops the 4th time and runs back to his parents, open the chest as soon as he stops infront of his parent and you should get the bow.
I think that was the trick used in the PS2 version.
AnimeSquirrel it took me 10 minutes to get seitengrat
Well its nice to know that I just got the golden axe and byblos bone without looking anything up on my first playthrough!
Didn’t even know the Great Trango existed till I got it from my second steal with Zodiark, without thief’s cuffs mind you.
Thanks to the blessings of folks who figure out how to manipulate the RNG, theres now an easy and quick method for 100% drop rate (PS4 only) for the Seitengrat. I got it today and I thought I would never get to use it.
Can't be done on Xbox 😣 whyyyyyy
Wyrmhero Blade is worth it only if you have Hermes' Sandals equipped. Or at least you can give it to a mage due to its Faith function. :P
Yoooo nice pull on the Golden Axe. Classic.
The obscure hoops you need to jump through and crazy low drop rates for these weapons and items reminds me of Dark Souls and Castlevania Symphony of the night.
The bow is a total of 1/10,000 to get. It's a 1% spawn chest, and a 1% chance for the bow to be gotten.
100% using rex save.
@@TheLiamis Only for PS4.
3% isnt that bad as it sounds, it's much easier specially if there are no other stuffs to steal on certain monsters
Mythil Blade is a good early game free slot weapon meaning everyone can use it regardless of job class
might as well buy the strategy guide
Kurt man nah its useless. stick to FAQ and youtube vids
Kurt man prima games help me alot making items in the bazaar since some of the weapons were charged
depsite the fact that Prima got most of their info from gamefaqs...
I have the original guide book, and in this video he says for these primo weapons, it's useless lol I hope they didn't change anything else
Very detailed, nice video
Wyrmhero blade>>Toursenol by a bit
Wyrmhero has holy damage, and white robes augment holy damage regardless of an enemy being weak to holy. Its straight up just way more powerful, and with a genji glove will destroy anything, especially since it has auto bravery and can be berserked
Bob Sanders I'm so glad u posted this b/c I rly hate the invisible property of those weapons lol
Bob Sanders the Wyrmhero blade can be extremely deadly. The Tournesol is just faster and easier to acquire which makes it normally more practical to use.
Sorry i am late
But the problem with wymhero blade is
U got it after u beat everything in this game lol
I mean you could get it pretty early if you get to trial 50, which isnt difficult to do... @@Gailardia1
you do more damage with weapon and armour combos. Excalibur with white robes does crazy damage
When it comes to luck and not to skill that's stupid. Got the tournesol btw and loved the game
100% chance to get seitengrat, I have 2 of them.
For the invisible weapons use the rng ( random number generator ) to get them use google or youtube to see how its done
I just got the byblos bone from the lhusu mines. It's pretty good!
Nice video!!
building the tournesol in ffxii, was one of my favorite things [not being sarcastic] so doing it again XD
dude getting hell gate flames could make me cry though lol
I always avoid invisible weapons and shield. The bow in airship, gendarmame, great trango. I only kn ow theres 3 of those invisible equipments.
Oh that's actually funny. I picked up the golden axe just randomly and didn't think anything of it because I didn't have a foe breaker.
got most of these in trail mode-Yaaaaaaaaaay, shortcuts!!!!!
How??
Great Vid!!!! Thank you
xD
Just got the Trango Tower. Pretty awesome 😁
Why in the bloody hell would they make the weapons invisible? Outrageous!
The original FfXIi, wyrm hero blade is OP, with 50% combo chance but down side is holy elemental. You can cheese yiazmat with this as it absorb holy element.
Plus it got cute sfx
Well in original you HAVE TO defeat Yiazmat first for that, oh and also Omega MKXII too.
Kurniawan Adi Wijaya yes, but you know that gameshark still thrive in ps2 era.
Ah the seitengrat, the most difficult weapon to get.... I have 6, thank you rng masters!
I love the Mass Immune on my Bushy.
Aron Newell you should get the materials to make the best one handed sword if you go to fight Gilgamesh both times with all the grimoires.
Just use rex save exploit to get seitengrat
Both the seitengrat and trango tower are easier to obtain than the second best weapons, at least on playstation.
2:41 That's toi much for a mere bow. They should a second version of Zodiac Spear that is one handed and has 250 attack power.
I bought this game for 34.99 last week great game for that price
I'd rather dodge lighting bolts....
With the hunt club, don't you only have X amount of trophies that you can sell?
Yes, you can only give limited amount if trophies to them. The amount of trophies distributed to them affects the resulting items they have on sale. So you need to choose which weapons and armors and accessories do you think are more important to you.
Wow. You uploaded this right as I was about to search for this very topic.
stfu, downvoted.
Well drop chances are too low of my personal opinion unfortunatelly. so i probably give miss most of these weapons and try find alternative options
One of my top Fav FFs. But getting those ultimate weapons is literally Hell....
Iman Rich The Swag Lord ps4 version has rng manipulation that can get you the weapons 100% of the time.
Flame Staff best weapon 90% of the time XD
Go ardor + oil for ultimate faceroll
Funny enough, it only took me two tries to get the Trango from Zodiark. The first time, I went in and was kinda stupid anyway, plus I wasn’t strong enough as well, so yeah. Second try, I was much better off level and power wise, and I managed to steal the trango.
I got the seingrat so easy the first tome the chest spawned i got it using the kid going back and forh method and on the 4th time you open it when he stops i still have the video on my ps4 i couldnt believe it i was tryig for shits n giggles when i got the game
Omg i already had the best crossbow without looking it up thats pretty nice
I got the trango first try without knowing it was there. I went back next playthrough and never got it lol.
i honestly dont see why people wouldnt run a black mage in either IZJS or zodiac age especially given how overpowered it is due to the removed 9999 damage cap, with the right setup a black mage could have virtually infinite MP
Got them all before looking up the video lol just wanted to see which is the best and I have 4 trangos and 3 seitengrats hehe reload and repeat lol
You know what's crazy, i got very very VERY lucky that i got the zodiac spear on my first playthrough back when i was still playing this in highschool 🤣
all of them. I will own all of them
see ya in 3 years
You can get all these weapons easy and less than 10 minutes (except the tournesol and that ultimate katana). You just need to know what you're doing.
Dragon Master Jay thats the right attitude
10 minutes in 4x speed mode but not in original speed.
Those weapons are invisible because they were too lazy to create models for them
Square, Square, Sqaure... Its like your torturing us with Pink Puff Tails all over again. At least this game lets you increase the speed which makes it so much easier for farming rare items. In fact this game has so many classic FF elements, I'm surprised Pink Puff Tails didn't make the cut.
To get the Maximum damage out of dark magic you must pair the white mage and shikari job class for everyone wondering
You don't SOLELY need the White Mage job. You can get The license for Black Robes from the following jobs as well:
1) Bushi
2) Black Mage
3) Red Battlemage
The Bushi is generally the best choice, given the mechanics if Ninja Swords.
Seitengrat * it's OP weapon and good to farm XP and LP
Ain't playing this game until someone made a completed item + RNG guide
Why so difficult?! I swear it’s easier to farm rare weapons off online games then this! YIKES! I’m wondering if there’s going to be a pop up purchase merchant to buy them for real cash in the game! X_X
Added - I have no idea if I even want to try to get any of those, I think I’ll focus more on trying to grind down hunts and relearning how to play the game...it’s been years since I played this.
Jarl Wolfy just stick to oil and fire magic on Penelo you’ll be fine and then switch to scathe once more enemies start becoming immune to oil ( you can get scathe right before the second Gilgamesh boss fight and it can easily carry you through it )
You could always get the spear from the mines and the hunt club they just took out a for sure way to get it....
I honestly hate when you have to rely on luck....and just have to hope and pray that the chest spawns, and that the chest contains the weapon
I just realized I have quite a few of them and I feel silly that I got them by accident...
ik this is old but wymhero blade is better against anything weak/nutral to holy because of its combo with the white robes my lvl 65 vaan with wyrmhero/robes/ grand helm/genji gloves hits at least 3 times per attack and all are over 14k. 20k if full hp, even higher when i berserk him
The main issue with that though is that the strongest enemy in the base game, not counting trial mode, absorbs holy, and what's the point if you can't use it in the fight where you'd need it the most?
The Excalibur with the right gear setups is better than the Tournesol. Only time Tournesol wins is against enemies that resist Holy damage.
like Yiazmat.
Tournesol isn't that great imo, especially for what you need to go through to get it
Best 1 handed swords is Karkata imo.
Vrsabha 2nd because getting Zodiac Spear I'd annoying
As for Yagyu Darkblade it's only use is like one battle...Yiazmat. Most endgame areas absorb dark so you get very little use out of it. Mina is way better outside of Yiazmat
Masamune v Kumbha + Shield is a close call though but I'd still choose Masamune here
As for poles Kanya is no doubt the best pole
However the highest damage in the game comes from ardor + flame staff (especially with oil). It smashes everything on this list even on neutral enemies
Devs: *makes unique named weapons so players will want to research and learn about their history*
Also Devs: *makes unique named weapons that they want players to research ridiculously rare so a large percentage of players will never know they exist and therefore will never be looked up*
Those invisible weapons were meant as debug weapons I think. You can oneshot most enemies with them, dead giveaway. And how, without people mining the database, and sharing on internet, people would never know those weapons even existed.
I fucking love this game...except for them replacing the reward for the beating both demon walls 😑
BTW it's Masamoo-neh not Masamyoon.
Nice to find someone who knows this. It drives me nuts hearing people say Masa-moon. There's no silent e in Japanese.
and its not maggie its majeye
@UHF Gaming LLC you dont beed to be a weebo to know how to pronounce masamune...
Seitengrat... i got it from the invisible chest by randomly bumping into it. Didn't know what it was lawl
Why?
Actually, the Shikari Nagasa F is the same as the Danjuro, just renamed
Staff of the magi i got it too, penole use it as mage
I lucked out on the invisible bow. I literally just bumed into it on an airship and didn't know it existed on my playthrough
Ich have got the invisible sword first try from zodiarche by stealing. Didnt know it was special. Then i died to zodiarche...
Kracki96 i stole it too... but zodiak defeated me and in the second round i forgor to steal, so i lost it
