Giacinto Scelsi - Anahit (1965) poème lyrique, dédié à Vénus for violin and chamber orchestra, performed by violin soloist Carolin Widmann and the WDR Sinfonieorchester. Tito Ceccherini was the conductor. Recorded live at the WDR 3 concert "Musik der Zeit [7]" on Jan. 23, 2021 at the WDR Funkhaus.
Giacinto Scelsi develops in his poem Anahit, dedicated to Venus, the goddess of love, a seismically active world of the finest waves, curves and vibrations. Anahit is his concertante
work. The violin, in the role of the solo instrument, plays around the
sound space, which moves and sways like plasma, with a wide variety of tremolos, glissandi and trills.
