The entire build up to it, to her letter to Billy, to her being pulled into Vecna's hell, to Kate Bush playing in the background, to the flashbacks of all the friends that love her, to her desperation to get back to those loved ones and even that dramatic pause before she comes back... excellent! This whole sequence actually made me tear up, especially during flashbacks to Max with her friends and at the end when she wakes up and falls into Lucas' arms. Maybe the questions for him was more about the volume 2, assuming that they let Felicia watch the entire season 4 and did this interview for both 1st and 2nd vol.
As an aging, increasingly jaded nerd who grew up playing d&d in the 80s I gotta say this show has totally knocked it out of the park for me. Everything about it - the cast, the writing, the production is outstanding. I loved it before but with season 4 the show has totally come into age - just hope season 5 continues to shine so brightly, oh and please, please, please - bring back Eddie!
@@jens2049 she had a substance abuse problem. She was also caught shop lifting like 18 years ago. She dealt with her issues and is truly at the top of her game IMO.

Never forget: when Polly Klass, a schoolgirl in Petaluma (Winona's hometown) was kidnapped, it was Winona who opened her purse, to fund a reward for finding her as well as underwriting the community search for the little girl. It was so sad and so badly affected Winona who was at the start of her career. It was amazing, at the time, to see how she stood up for Polly and how she cared for the Klass family and her hometown.
Episode Dear Billy deserve an award called "Masterpiece" for the most talented writing of Duffer Brothers and for Episode 7 they can put their balls on the throne and say "Who is your daddy now" HAHA
Just the start of episode 7 pumped me up, I had to watch these 2 minutes several times to soak that moment in, that raw survival was dope and steve really was amazing. I love him now 😄
Totally agree. Season one is basically as perfect as a tv show gets, but this season so far has been pretty darn close. I've especially enjoyed the subtleties happening in the background. Little nods to great moments from past seasons (mike and Lucas handshake recreated with General and soldier in Hawkins, Dustin and mike comforting El is recreated with steve, Dustin and Lucas comforting Max) and the acting done by Noah without speaking a word in some cases has been terrific. Can't wait for part two!!
They shouldn’t even need to be afraid to shy away from being dark but the grandfather clocks in the big boy chairs Always gotta hold these directors back EVERY time and it’s so dumb
The prison in Lithuania is in the Vilnius city center, it is not a working prison but we use it as a space for concerts, cultural events. You are able to go to tours even at night. We in Lithuania are really excited that Stranger Things was filmed here!
She's been acting for like 35 years and nobody she's worked with had ever anything bad to say about her. That really speaks for itself and I admire her for how humble she stayed despite the insane career she's had.
Can we just talk about how awesome Felicia is as an interviewer and a human being? She's an old school nerd and she knows all the right questions to ask.
Cool hearing her voice from time to time while playing Guild Wars 2, or catching one of her Supernatural episodes, still remember "The Guild" days...haven't caught any of her streams, but I know or at least knew of them. Having said that...this looks bland, essentially run of the mill stock press junket questions. Also, that last round about came off really weird and racial. Not saying she did anything, may even have been subconscious on the part of whoever produced this or was in her ear, may have even just been edited this way, or may even have been set up in terms of scene relevance meaning nothing at all, but she went from Finn to Sadie to Gaten to Caleb to Priah. That's a weird pecking order, but one that was predictable as soon as she went to Sadie second. Just saying.
Shawn Levy is truly a genius, the way he just explained how he and his team shot that oner shoot sequence is mind blowing. The scene had that perfect synchronization just like he said and it was breathtaking while watching it for the first time. This kind of oners give directors new challenges they want to try and for us it is really a treat to watch.
When David and Winona were talking about nostalgia I related to a lot of what they said, and it felt like talking to your relatives about movies until you realise that Winona WAS in the movies you're talking about and it's not just your uncle and aunt lol.
I really love Duffer Brothers. They are so kind , humble and really good. Lets thank a lot to them for this amazing show they created and incresible script they wrote.
This was fun in so many ways, but learning more about the "shoot-out" scene was my favorite. Watching this scene, I was deeply touched by the sense that Agent Harmon was willing to sacrifice his own life to protect these young people he had just met.
Felicia Day did a great job interviewing everyone. It felt like a natural conversation with a genuine fan rather than one of those shitty red-carpet interviews.
I'm 38 years old. The 80s are fuzzy to me, I was 5 in 1989, but what I do remember was special... the kind of special the Duffers, crew and cast, and Netflix have managed to capture. I legit will cry once Stranger Things ends. Thank you for this great story and experience!!
I've had a long time crush on Winona Ryder. She has really shown a full range of acting chops in this series. I would happily watch a spin off with Hopper, Joyce and Murray. The interaction with these 3 was sooooooo entertaining.
I've LOVED Winona Ryder since I first saw her in Edward Scissorhands. That will always be my favourite movie of hers, along with Beetle Juice. She's an icon.
I also love the way she interviews the cast. You can see she's genuine about her questions cus you can see her excitement. Also, I can see similarities about her journey as Charlie in Supernatural and the characters in Stranger Things, especially Dustin. Both are the nerdiest of their team.
I must admit I was slightly shocked to realise not only how much I liked season 4 (after feeling a bit fatigued with the Strangerverse) but that I honestly think its the best season of them all, including the first one. The "russian segments" are shockingly mature and well orchestrated for being in a "teen adventure". To come out swinging this hard after 3 seasons prior, is not only a remarkable achivement, but also a feat that gives hope. By all normal televisionshow-standards, this show should have gone artistically bankrupt by now; instead team Stranger Things seems to be more inspired than ever. Warms my cold heart.
I agree with everything except the story line about russia. It was so unrealistically annoying that i facepalmed myself again and again. Show would be so much better without it
@@alexhunter4800 Oh my - I cant speak for the realism of it (I mean were talking adventure-scifi here right), but it sure was my favourite part never the less. It reminded me of the time when we got good prison-movies like Papillon and Alcatraz - a nice homage.
This seems so much like a D&D adventure. In D&D the dungeon master has a story line in his head of the way he expects the adventure to go. His players, however, shape the story by how they react to one another and to the challenges presented. The writers and directors seem to embrace this concept and let the characters shape the advancement of the story. The actors also seem to be emboldened by this atmosphere to become their characters and react realistically to enhance their universe.
Wow, Millie looks so much more grown up in real life than on the show. She is so pretty and I think she will become a huge star in her adult life! Can’t wait to see what she does with her acting career in the next 10+ years!!
Priah Ferguson needs her own show. I would eat it UP she is so talented and watching her outside of the role of Erica is just fascinating. She's obviously very mature and grown, even though she is playing a more youthful role. I want more of her!!
I just finished the last season and OMG, these dudes have brought back a lot of memories with this series and introduced younger generations to a storytelling art that has been lost in recent films and shows. This show is everything right now, it sucks you in and kudos to Netflix for picking it up and allowing the team to explore these concepts.
Did anyone notice the conversations where the EXACT thing that needed to be said to repair the relationship or convey understanding and empathy/apology was said. When Will was being third wheel and Mike apologized or when Lucas apologized to Max about not being there for her. It was like time slowed down for those moments
Team Hawkins carried this season they really put the best characters together especially Steve Dustin Eddie Robin and Erica also I cant wait to see Joyce and Hopper finally together I’ve been shipping them since season one

I won't pretend I knew the "Friendly Orderly" was going to turn out to be who he is, but I knew he'd be something special because they wouldn't cast Jamie Campbell Bower as just a background character.

I started watching this show 3 weeks ago and it is phenomenal but this reporter is also the best, she knows the show, the cast and most importantly, the honesty of the characters and is able to talk to them in the such a way as to connect with them as actors. It is Wonderful. Keep it up.
i wish side characters or minor characters gets to appear in these interviews as well :< i really want to hear what they have to say about their character and the show itself. i understand that the main cast should be in the spotlight but man, give justice to the other casts who obviously had contributed to the show as well.
Right! The actress for Angela played her part so well. She did a great job at making me hate her😂 Same with the actor for Jason. You don’t like him but you kind of feel bad for him, being so disconnected from what’s happening and not knowing anything about the upside down or Vecna. Just that his girlfriend was brutally murdered in the trailer of the guy he dislikes, Eddie. Great season. The Duffer’s have done it again.
Stranger Things brought back so many memories from when I was kid in middle school in the 80's. It's like a time machine, The Duffer Brothers, cast and crew did a great job, I was impressed.
Ryder and Harbour need to just get together. Yeah, I know they're probably attached and all, but the chemistry is palpable and their charaters' bios and backstories hit very close to home for a lot of people.
Is it just me or Eddie's actor's face REALLY looked like young Robert Downey Jr's face? Would be great if Marvel cast him as Tony Stark from other universe, as he's also a great actor.

I love watching stranger things interviews. It’s mesmerising, the way they explain the whole filming and the background of the scenes. Priah looks so grown up and beautiful! The way Gaten said MORE SCENES was so cute. Sadie’s acting in Dear Billy was remarkable. Jamie was an amazing villain, the way they connected Vecna and 001’s story was genius. I would love it if Will, Mike and Jonathan are given more screen time in Vol 2....Coz in vol 1, the California storyline didn't quite work for me...The rest of the season was phenomenal! I'm still curious what is that painting that Will wanted to show Mike at the airport.
How this show keeps getting better and bigger. Ep 4 was incredible but ep 7 is my favourite of all seasons. Number of amazing moments, its just too good to be true.
I was a little hesitant at first with it being dark and scary but as the episodes get going I was loving every minute of it. You guys did a great job with this season so far.
It’d be nice to know more about his background and his parents. They tend to on focus on his love life and it’d be nice to get a little deeper than that.
*WINONA REACTS* 18:54 👀❤️🔥🥤🍿 Yes, please!! Someone give her a big theater/room, with a bed, a random tub lol, a random bike AND a massive theater size screen. Then let her watch and react to all movies from the 80's, 90's and even some of the more recent films. Perhaps, there could be polls? Where WE get to vote from a 'pre-selected and pre-approved' list, of say 5 films. Whichever one wins is what she watches and reacts to. ALSO, she can have celebrity guests who come and watch along with her, just to add to the banter fun!! WE WOULD WATCH THIS. 💯⚡
6:46 You know what that would've worked too! I actually wouldn't mind Lonnie finding out about that stuff and learning that Joyce wasn't crazy and him having some kind of character development so he ends up more likeable.
I still can't believe every single episodes has basically been a feature length film, and the finale is almost 2 and a half hours long, just a little over a week until we finally get to experience the finale!
I’d love to sit down and have a conversation with David. Dude is so nice and well spoken and easygoing and has a good sense of humor. He also very clearly cares about the show and his character and I really like that. Lots of actors don’t get that invested in their characters because they see it as just a job, which is fine because an actor’s job is literally to act lol, but David seems to have really sunken his teeth into his role and I find that extremely awesome. Yet another reason Hopper remains my favorite character on the show.
He'll probably have more to do in Vol 2. But I think he's doing jsut fine, maybe they wanted to take the weight off him after the work he did on Season 2, because that was rough for Wil, lol
It's so funny to see Winnona giving us this mom energy when for my generation she was the epitome of craziness :) I guess we all grew old together but looking at this, I'd better be old and lived to witness the 80s than being a kid nowdays

Istg i love her with all my heart 😩
Agreed! Love her
She just seems like a genuinely nice and humble person and everyone she's ever worked with has only had good things to say about her. I'm so glad the child actors had her to grow up with on set :)
joe quinn isn’t getting much attention or questions and that makes me feel rlly bad for him, he seems like such a sweetheart
Maya go even less questions lmao
I love him too maybe he has a less screen time on this but I think he enjoyed to listen Maya and Joe's answering together with him. Don't worry! :-)
Maybe the questions for him was more about the volume 2, assuming that they let Felicia watch the entire season 4 and did this interview for both 1st and 2nd vol.
He's an amazing actor
@@bombomos he sure is
As an aging, increasingly jaded nerd who grew up playing d&d in the 80s I gotta say this show has totally knocked it out of the park for me. Everything about it - the cast, the writing, the production is outstanding. I loved it before but with season 4 the show has totally come into age - just hope season 5 continues to shine so brightly, oh and please, please, please - bring back Eddie!
I am in the same boat, so great that it brings the 80’s into focus. Love the show, agree Eddie should come back!,,,,
they had original Advanced DM and MM, too - nice touch!
oh buddy... ohh buddyyyy.... (about eddie lmao)

Even after all her personal turbulence I still love Winona Ryder. Stranger Things was the right time and definitely the right project for her.
What turbulence
@@jens2049 she had a substance abuse problem. She was also caught shop lifting like 18 years ago. She dealt with her issues and is truly at the top of her game IMO.
Those were also personal problems with her mental health. She's never been problematic or an unkind person to anyone besides herself. I'm so glad she seems really happy now and the younger generation (me) gets to fangirl over her too :)
Yep, I already guessed that dear billy ep will be best
They didn’t write that episode
Im gonna be really surprised if that episode doesnt get considered for ANY kind of awards! Like Im gonna be like WTF? lol
Just the start of episode 7 pumped me up, I had to watch these 2 minutes several times to soak that moment in, that raw survival was dope and steve really was amazing. I love him now 😄
Sadie Sink is so nice and well spoken. I love that she smiles a lot when she speaks. She seems very sweet 💕
The best season since Season 1, in my opinion. They're not afraid to go TOO dark!
I agree. Season 1 and this season are my favorites.
@@gordonliu3972 pop ppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppp K lpppk pop pick ppp P
They shouldn’t even need to be afraid to shy away from being dark but the grandfather clocks in the big boy chairs Always gotta hold these directors back EVERY time and it’s so dumb
Same. I really felt season 2 and 3 are the weakest points of the show. Season 4 has me gripped again. Fantastic stuff
The prison in Lithuania is in the Vilnius city center, it is not a working prison but we use it as a space for concerts, cultural events. You are able to go to tours even at night. We in Lithuania are really excited that Stranger Things was filmed here!
I love David and Winona's chemistry. They are mirroring each other and leaning towards each other like besties. ❤️
winona genuinely gives off the sweetest vibes i love her so much 🥺🥺🥺
She's been acting for like 35 years and nobody she's worked with had ever anything bad to say about her.
Winona is so fricken awesome, her acting skills and her personality. So glad she is back on the screen.
Me too!
Y’all seriously didn’t waste those three years! So excited for vol.2!

That scene was absolutely amazing!
When David and Winona were talking about nostalgia I related to a lot of what they said, and it felt like talking to your relatives about movies until you realise that Winona WAS in the movies you're talking about and it's not just your uncle and aunt lol.
Winona is so humble knowing she was such a big star in the 80's, she never puts herself under the light.
I really love Duffer Brothers. They are so kind , humble and really good. Lets thank a lot to them for this amazing show they created and incresible script they wrote.
I agree but don't forget all the other writers, the Duffers didn't do it alone.
This was fun in so many ways, but learning more about the "shoot-out" scene was my favorite. Watching this scene, I was deeply touched by the sense that Agent Harmon was willing to sacrifice his own life to protect these young people he had just met.
What really sold this show to me is the chemistry between the characters.
Felicia Day did a great job interviewing everyone. It felt like a natural conversation with a genuine fan rather than one of those shitty red-carpet interviews.
Scrolled too far for this comment but I completely agree! 👏
Like you, Stranger things really gave me that Nostalgia we wanted. This show was what I wanted Goonies to be if made into a TV Series.
The scene with Max and Vecna gets me all the time, it's so powerful and emotional. Perfect soundtrack selection, the icing on the cake of tears lol
Idk why it makes me cry so easily! glad I'm not the only one
I love how Felicia day, dnd enthusiast, is the one hosting this cause you can tell how passionate she is about it
I also love the way she interviews the cast. You can see she's genuine about her questions cus you can see her excitement. Also, I can see similarities about her journey as Charlie in Supernatural and the characters in Stranger Things, especially Dustin. Both are the nerdiest of their team.
I LOVEEE FELICIA DAY SHES AWEEESOMEE
"When the tent is rocking, dont come knocking" lives rent free in my mind.
Felicia’s a legit geek. Gotta love her! 🙂❤️
I loved her as Charlie in supernatural
I must admit I was slightly shocked to realise not only how much I liked season 4 (after feeling a bit fatigued with the Strangerverse) but that I honestly think its the best season of them all, including the first one. The "russian segments" are shockingly mature and well orchestrated for being in a "teen adventure". To come out swinging this hard after 3 seasons prior, is not only a remarkable achivement, but also a feat that gives hope. By all normal televisionshow-standards, this show should have gone artistically bankrupt by now; instead team Stranger Things seems to be more inspired than ever. Warms my cold heart.
what's about today dude🙂
I absolutely agree. It has raised the bar for writing multi-season plot arcs & is hugely inspiring as an artistic achievement.
Steve is the best character ever i can’t imagine the show without him if anything bad happens to him it’ll be so hard to continue watching

It’s her stylist or Millie just wanting to look older with makeup, outfits, and hair. She actually look more like Eleven without it

My GOSH Winona is such a treasure
Did anyone notice the conversations where the EXACT thing that needed to be said to repair the relationship or convey understanding and empathy/apology was said. When Will was being third wheel and Mike apologized or when Lucas apologized to Max about not being there for her. It was like time slowed down for those moments
I love how Winona like, "What's War of Warcraft." She's adorable! 🥰🥰

Why isn't jamie who plays 001/vecna/Henry here? we want to see him in interviews
I feel like they aren’t allowing him to do interviews for the fact he’s such a huge part/shock rn that the questions he would get asked might ruin volume 2
I think they also kinda want to make him as mysterious as they can, thus most of his interviews are even just audio.
Yes, please!!
ALSO, she can have celebrity guests who come and watch along with her, just to add to the banter fun!!

what do u think of it
I’d love to sit down and have a conversation with David.
Duffers heres a challenge: GIVE WILL SOMETHING TO DO. MAKE THE CHARACTERS CARE ABOUT HIM AGAIN.
He'll probably have more to do in Vol 2. But I think he's doing jsut fine, maybe they wanted to take the weight off him after the work he did on Season 2, because that was rough for Wil, lol
