- Katamari Damacy REROLL is the 2018 remake of the 2004 Playstation 2 classic. I genuinely love this game and want to more people to play it, so here's a video of why it's my favorite game on the Nintendo Switch.

For Nintendo games, the Pikmin franchise can be an interesting topic

experience, I think you might like Abzu ! It's an indie game created by the artistic director of Journey and Flower and it's on the eShop.
Oh yeah Pikmin would be fun to cover in the future! I haven’t played much of it, but my cousin is a massive Pikmin fan, and I’m sure he’d love to help me out with a Pikmin video.

One of the greatest games ever made. so quirky and charming, and the controls feel so tight. There's a reason this is a permanent installation in the Museum of Modern Art....
Thankfully We Love Katamari Reroll was trademarked recently, so it looks like more Katamari is on the way soon.

There was a short lived Katamari Online game only released in South Korea and it was heavily multiplayer based.
I’ve heard about that one! It’s a pretty neat concept that I can see being expanded upon. There’s a good number of really obscure Katamari games that are no longer available to play and are basically just lost to time.
As much as I love this game, I do have to admit that the sequels are better. They add new features that enhance the experience and the music hits harder than the music present in Damacy does, though that's more subjective really. I wish they'd remaster the rest of the games.

I never know how to talk about this game, while it's by far one of my favorite game of all time.
Your video is so inspiring, I felt the same passion that ignites me when I want to talk about my love for Katamari Damacy. This game fills me with nostalgia and makes me happy. You found the right words, I almost had tears in my eyes to hear about this masterpiece with so much benevolence and with the awesome soundtrack in the background.

Sometimes I tell myself that video games were created for experiences like that. The way you talk about the game touched me.
What we generally hear about it is are things like "wtf Japan" which is understandable I must admit, but your video gave me what I wanted to hear for years without knowing I wanted to hear it.
It seems at first glance that the more we learn about the game, the less we understand what it is
about. I discovered the series on PS2 and I always had fun with this game but I think I had to grow up to really understand it and why its chaotic coherence is so awesome. It's not perfect, but it makes me feel the cosmos.
If I were you I wouldn’t announce that you like the bear level, people will be scared of you
The only problem I had with Reroll was the fact that they changed the prince's face.
Yeah I can understand that. They tried to make it more in-line with Keira Takahashi’s more recent games it seems.

I deeply apologize for being "that guy" but technically this is the second time the series has been on a Nintendo console! "Korogashi Puzzle Katamari Damacy", a puzzle game for DSiware was the first Katamari game to appear on a Nintendo console.
You are still half right though; It is the first time Katamari made it to a Nintendo console in NA.
Anyway, Good video! You did a fantastic job describing everything that makes Katamari Damacy such a unique and fun game while pointing out some small issues that are present (Seriously, the bear & cow levels feel like they clash with everything else, they are so frustrating)
I apreciate how you showed some small details, like the shark building description (I genuinely never checked that before so it gave me a good laugh).

I definitely recommend reading some of the item descriptions; some of them are absolute gems. Also, I’ve definitely heard of the DS Katamari puzzle game, but I guess I just completely forgot about it when making this video.

The fact that they don't let you retry a level right away after finishing it is even more annoying considering the second game fixed that. So I was REALLY hoping the remastered version would add that in, but sadly, this remaster only does the bare minimum.
Luckily the We Love Katamari remaster seems to be addressing some of the complaints of the original. They’re adding the missing endless mode, for example.

i couldn't agree more with any of this! katamari was a game i really enjoyed as a kid, and reroll kicked off a whole snowball event of me rediscovering the cousins and rounding up my favorites, it was a total ball of a time! the game will always stick with me, and this video will, too. im so glad this vid rolled on to my social media dashboard! also, do you have a gif anywhere of the prince waving at the end? i'm looking to add it to my collection. thanks!

I don’t actually have a gif of the Prince waving, but I can try to make one for you! I just used the luma keyer in the video editing software I use, but I’ve been meaning to make it into an actual gif for a while.
