Re-watching this after learning about Mallorca Lee's unfortunate terminal cancer diagnosis, I was 13 when this was made, It's one of my favourite sets, pure energy and i love watching the crowd go nuts to it. Thank you Mallorca.

This was pure unadulterated Scottish techno from back in the day by a top drawer band who were way ahead of their time ,I was at this event and it was by far the best rave I’d ever seen I’d been raving from 91 to 94 and been to a fair few raves by then but this was by far my best rave the visuals and the sound system were spot on😜👏🏻

Ultra Sonic and Mallorca's legacy is eternal. They probably have no idea of the scale of joy and inspiration this music has had on people. At the time, it created a subculture in Glasgow that extended beyond Scotland. Some of the kids who raved about this later became successful artists in different genres too. These guys might not be Cybotron. or Frankie Knuckles or the Prodigy, but they are pioneers of early rave. I watched Mallorca recently talking about music and he has no ego which is rare for someone so well rooted in electronic music.

I M NOW 56 and I was at this gig ,I used to go to Hanger 18 every week or the Metro ? I used to stay in Paisley and everyone went to see ultrasonic or Q Tex brilliant time, I used to take 5 acid and 5 snowballs and I danced all fucking weekend? I went to the venue (spennymoor) for 10yrs,,seen Ultra Sonic there 3 times,,absolutely class. 50yrs old now and still buzz of all this old school rave haha ❤
I remember going to spennymoor many times working with the Rhythmic State. We always loved coming down from Scotland. We had some amazing nights at the venue. Great memories of those heady times. 🕊️✌️🕊️

I was only 9 in 1993, so was never able to go to anything like this, but I've had the Live at Klub Kinetic album constantly on play all my life, i know every single shout and cheer on it to the second. I always thought these guys should have far more respect than they do. They're streets ahead of everything else from that time (bar the obvious) when you listen to it now.

Saw ultra Sonic Saturday night in Sydney 11/11/23 banging set classic old skool hardcore.
We saw him in melb on the 17th! It was fkn EPIC 🤩
1989-1993 then it all turned to shit as we had a club in Glasgow's Sauchiehall St and thursdays were Hardcore Night's and packed,as our DJs for Residents were SLAM when there was 12 or more Great DJs that just delivered in a Underground -way. If ye never done DOVES you sadly missed out on the biggest and best LIVE-ACTS to Raves Down that M8 -Dessert Storms to The Metro + Hanger 13 + the biggest along with The Rez was Earthquacker in 1992 with New Atlantic Ect......wow 10/10 Best Memories Ever 0/
