Thank you for sharing the insightful presentation, I note that Norway's GDP per capita is 3 times that of Scotland's, this is not solely driven by extensive Natzi development of Hydro power during the WW2 occupation but is related more to responsible post war energy policies and massive investment in government assisted projects over decades. It is interesting to hear that we need to look as far back as early post WW2 government action for examples of "joined up thinking" in the development of key projects and sad to hear of 40 year gaps in major hydro developments. If private enterprise is our only hope of funding and executing such projects for the greater good then the risk of short-term market issues could leave us wallowing behind for another 100 years. Decades of Energy policy negligent mismanagement suggest that the only way is up when you are so far down. Hope: "to cherish a desire with anticipation".
