Zard matchup is rough, your best bets are Delphox plays, Attack + Munki into Pidgeot, and taking prizes off Rotom, Fez, or Lumineon.

It could just be a fidget but some people are constantly looking at pieces and thinking about possible plays. I have heard both from players over the years as to why they do it
