Fungus In The Project Lawn

The heat and humidity has been awful for our cool season lawns here in the Northeast. We have had 24 days of relentless heat with temperatures in the low 90's to high 90's with heat index's well over 100 degrees. This is a bad time for cool season lawns. We haven't really had any significant rainfall before and during the heat wave. Running the sprinklers every day to try and keep this cool season lawn from going dormant has caused an issue with fungus. In this video my son and I are doing a cleanup of the dead grass and affected lawn areas to try and remedy the fungus issue and bring the lawn back to somewhat of a presentable look at least until the fall cooler temperatures come which is what this grass loves.
