Interesting, especially the new part to Petrzalka. I am only a little bit disappointed because I thought it would be built as a fast tram (without any level crossings just like in Poland in Poznań or Szczecin). And when the line will be extended further south ?
The extension should have been done already, still isn't to this date. They are just building it and should be completed in about 2 years. It also should have been built without any level crossings as you mentioned, but again the plans changed to less expensive variant (which is of course worse, but still better than nothing).
Vraj tram-train. I heard (on Timsvideochannel1) that the original idea was to have the train run through the city to pick up passengers and it would run along the same route as the trams until diverging back onto the normal train line. It seems the idea was put on the shelf after some of the tracks had already been laid. No idea why it wasn't completed, though. Perhaps they just ran out of money.
A very risky railway line especially for the padestrians.. Request the concerned government to protect its citizens from fatalities. Thanks for sharing this. Best Regards, Nassa
not random town in Czech republic, but the scenes set in Bratislava in Eurotrip were filmed in a Soviet military base in Milovice, Czech Republic, which was abandoned in 1991 and has since been demolished
I'm quite disappointed to see that the tram infrastructure in Bratislava is in such poor state. (Not everywhere of course) Before this video I had watched a few tram videos from Warsaw Poland where the tram infrastructure was really good and was expecting to see similar infrastructure in Bratislava, perhaps even better. So it was disappointing to see that some of the tracks and roads still look like they looked 30 years ago during the communist era.
luke mika I will be killed by Bratislavians, but have a look on Košice's reconstructed tram network, in downtown, rail were pulled out and built like new :)
luke mika Come to Leipzig, Germany. You'll be shocked, too. Slovakia at least doesn't pretrend to be a leading global economic power like Germany does it all the time. Slovakia and Bratislava are very charming places with very nice people. :)
Good video. Bratislava has come a long way since I was there maybe 25 years ago.

Narrow gauge?
Prečo je tu dvojitá trať od 29:14? - Why is there a double track from 29:14?
Great video. I noticed the absence of mobil phones, considering that this video was made in 2016.

What are those outside tracks at 30:00
They wanted to switch the tramway to a wider gauge a few decades back. But it called it of later those tracs were put there in preparation for that

Nice trams but oh boy those tracks and some parts of town look very run down lots of graffiti as well
Paráda!! Nahraješ i linku 1 z hlavního nádraží do Petržalky?
