The separation of races in the California system has to do with keeping down confrontations between races. The more contact you have with other races means more chance of conflict. Conflict between races results in to big riots. I have done time in California in the early 90’s to the early 2000’s on 4 and 3 yards and later ended up doing a few years in Idaho max. I personally am not racist at all the neighborhood I’m from is actually pretty close to the crip gang in my area. The thing is these rules are in place to help us and keep us morally in check
I wouldn't say it's childish necessarily..... I can more understand prison gangs because of the fact it's constant life and death in a predatory setting. Street gangs seem more childish to me. But with that said, a lot of these kids go in to it to find structure and family and it winds up turning corrupt because of the number one most important thing in life... Money.

This person continues to hang around the same crowd or goes on video talking about that life style, etc. 3. Dropout who was forced out of an organization simply due to prison politics. I.e., Two shotcallers compete for power and you pick one side. If the big people turn on the guy you picked, you will fall just as he does because you made a choice. 4. A person who simply "stops" that life style and becomes inactive (not really a drop out but he no longer partakes in that life style). No one pays any regard to person number 4. He is a grownup and may choose to leave, but when he leaves he leaves for good and DOES NOT do what person number two does. Dropout number 2 is almost as bad as dropout number 1. Why? Because he claims to be "inactive" all while still holding on and sticking around. Dropout number two wants to have his cake and eat it too. He wants to be inactive so as to not have to go back to prison but at the same time wants the glory of those who made a choice to continue that life style.

Big black dude basically was calling shots in San Quentin reception when I was there. I seen a black Sureno too when I was in pelican bay shu. The only hoods in Norwalk are NORWALK ONE WAYS, CARMELAS VARRIO LOCOS, ORANGE STREET LOCOS, NORWALK PEACEFUL, AND NEIGHBORHOOD13....I have family and homies from all these hoods. Ive never heard of "Criminales".....exactly what cross streets in Norwalk is this hood? Also, it is very common for a white/black/Filipino to be from a hispanic hood. They might have only 1 or 2 members, but it does exist. Some hoods like Sarzana and Satanas have a big mix of all these races, and they are all southsiders. When a black, white, whatever gets locked up, they dont go with their race, they go to the South Side car.

I’ve been to jail. We don’t have gangs. Maybe one fight a month, if that! From all I have heard from these vids, we’re lucky here. No one has ever been seriously injured much less killed. Worse thing I experienced was withdrawal, and then the others in the pod helped me through it and hooked me up with tabs and boxes so I was straight. Folks shared canteen without expecting being paid back. Most here have family that keep their books filled.

I experienced the most ridiculous break in! 3 very dumb teenagers broke in and stole my bed! They were caught moving my bed into their apartment 2 doors down! The neighbor’s caught them and called the police! Broad daylight and while they were robbing me, they helped themselves to a snack! I came home from work and the police were in the process of arresting them and asked the kids if they had anything to say to me. They apologized but complained about the stolen snack!- thought they were being poisoned- got into my tofu🤣😂

I’ve been to jail. We don’t have gangs. Maybe one fight a month, if that! From all I have heard from these vids, we’re lucky here. No one has ever been seriously injured much less killed. Worse thing I experienced was withdrawal, and then the others in the pod helped me through it and hooked me up with tabs and boxes so I was straight. Folks shared canteen without expecting being paid back. Most here have family that keep their books filled.

I experienced the most ridiculous break in! 3 very dumb teenagers broke in and stole my bed! They were caught moving my bed into their apartment 2 doors down! The neighbor’s caught them and called the police! Broad daylight and while they were robbing me, they helped themselves to a snack! I came home from work and the police were in the process of arresting them and asked the kids if they had anything to say to me. They apologized but complained about the stolen snack!- thought they were being poisoned- got into my tofu🤣😂
