London’s West End is far from being “London’s answer to Broadway” since it has been in existence long before Broadway, a few hundred years before Broadway. Talk about trying to Americanise everything.
I was about to say the same thing. I understand the reason to do comparisons, but the West End being the location of theatreland has it's roots in 1600's.

seeing the clips out of context irks me. i've watched the film twice now. it is superb. the "sex scene" was not gratuitous. another sex scene i can liken it to is Terminator 1984.

Karla Cabello I wasn’t happy at the end or even throughout the film, tho’ I wouldn’t say it isn’t a good film. It is just v dark, less delightful. Full of a dark world the protagonist has left. Amazing that the most publicised interviews are American. Why is her husband living in the USA? He’s British too.
Neil Mcintosh I suppose I felt that way too, except for a certain feeling of lack of fulfilment. I wish I could’ve enjoyed it & felt they would be together always, as you do. Somehow, I couldn’t. I found it even somewhat oppressive. Their love was the only bright light in the film, speaking for myself. Maybe I’ll see it again, to see if I can go further w its good aura. Thx for sharing.
Neil Mcintosh Yes, I agree w you that it was a refreshing change from the the standard Hollowwood ending, altho’ not usually where gay love is concerned. I really think it was the claustrophobic atmosphere that got me by the throat. I’ll give it another see.
