    I have this exact bike and it is a very snappy bike to pedal. I picked it up used a couple months ago and I have been setting PRs on climbs even in the winter which is pretty amazing. It really shines on the downhills, love how fun it is with the short chain-stays, you can really carve the tight turns. I've got one-up carbon handlebars, santa cruz reserve 30 wheelset, Schwalbe MM 2.6 front, HD rear, both in super trail casings. I have 3 volume reducers in the super-deluxe shock right now and it feels really good, but going to try the MegNeg to see what that does just because I love messing with my bike. The G2 brakes are ok, I agree with some others that code brakes would be better; I did have to replace the G2 pistons and seals. I also added a 200mm rotor in the back and got some new ceramic brake pads, they work like a charm now.

      Hey, I'm thinking of ordering a 2021 Kona Process 134 AL 29er, was wondering if the rear sus comes with a lockout or climbing mode kinda thing? I tend to climb standing / out of the saddle.

    After having bought my first Kona Entourage 2012, I feel loyal to the brand. I hope one day I could by the 134 29er, as I love the angles on the frame, and its finished product equipment. Love Kona!!!

    Haven't owned a Kona since my 1991 Kona Hot in sweet supple chromoly. That bike had evolutionary geometry at the time. Congratulations on the new 29er.

    I am watching this because I recently found a 2020 Kona Process CR DL 29er for sale at 4,200. It has only been ridden a few times and is in great shape. Does this price seem to be good considering it is 6K MSRP but used?

    Does this fit a 205*60 shock like it's big brother or a 185*50-55? I currently have the al29 153 and have invested in a cane creek coil but I'm totally down for buying a 134 frame and swapping my bits over(and shortening the fork to 150mm)

    So...why don't higher end mountain bikes come with pedals? I can kinda understand not having a kickstand, but pedals?

    • @willmyers5206
      @willmyers5206 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dylan-James Sercy most come with pedals when you order them because it’s a requirement, but the pedals they do come with are the cheap plastic kind and it’s better to invest in a good pair of pedals that are designed for mountain biking

    • @liamlen8732
      @liamlen8732 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is also literally no need for a kickstand on a MTB. Extra weight and it would get in the way.

      to add to what everybody said, a lot of people have personal preferences on pedals, some clipless are only compatible with certain brands, it would be near impossible to have a good set of pedal that work for everyone. also flat vs clipless pedal

    What is mm tune?

    • @milktop1
      @milktop1 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sean Murray medium medium. I believe it’s rebound and compression. You can tweak each shock but they all are set up internally different

    • @vitalmtb
      @vitalmtb  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@milktop1 William is correct. MM refers to the shock tune. Medium compression tune, medium rebound tune.
