Oh my, to Diamond Joop: You are absolutely right about No. America needing Shabbat. My opinion is that the whole world needs a LOT of the Shabbat concept, and the coming together of the family is fabulous! When I was in Jerusalem, it was an amazing experience to see so many people scurrying around in the late afternoon hours wherever they were. When I asked about this, I was told that they all had to hurry to get home before sunset so they could be in time to start their Shabbat times at home. What a wonderful idea! I was a post-doctoral fellow at the Weizmann Institute of science for three years. Once a graduate student in our lab gave birth to a baby boy and a couple of days later there was the circumcision. She and her husband threw a big party and the whole lab was invited. And there I was sitting next to my boss and another graduate student, all three of us wearing the same uniform: blue T-Shirt, sand-coloured Shorts and Tewa sandals. I think this was my most Israeli moment ever and it sums up so many things about Israeli society. So maybe, you should add Tewa Sandals to your list. 😀
This is what I like! I want to really know Eretz Israel, her back roads, out of the way beauty spots, the garbage dumps, the ordinary, everyday life of the ordinary, everyday Israeli people.

Of course an Ashkenazi would forget the Hamin , insert your meat of choice + Laffa , or Hummus wipe , or a boiled egg + Jahnun + cut / crushed tomato ! :) Schnitzel + Pita are definitely not even in the top 5 foods ... unless you come from Ramat Aviv (kind of used to be Israel's Beverly Hills) ! :P
Thanks for this video & a little peek behind that prickly Israeli exterior - the barrier most Israeli have toward non-Israelis (?). What about the salted sunflower seeds? i thought those were the National Israeli snack food. Loved those ♡ Yalla!
I have to agree with this remark from jonygreenberg. I have never been informed about Peres, but I think ben Gurion should have been included in the video as an important person to Israel. Also, in my opinion (as a non-Israeli) I think you could have mentioned Netanyahu, as an influential current political figure. He seems to be significant to the world's alliances with Israel. (Something to consider covering for the benefit of non-Israelis who want to learn more about this great country.) One other thing about the food I found significant was the magnificence of the dried fruit in all areas of the country. The dates, apricots, etc. were fabulous; better than any I have ever had. They were sweet and moist and delicious. The variety of cheeses and fish was astonishing, too. The Tilapia fish dishes were outstanding! I love this country and want to go back and explore more!
I’d say you left out tomatoes, hard boiled eggs, cheese, black break, and cans of sardines. This seemed to be the main food I ate every time I went on a hike and had a some kind of communal lunch. Very tasty.

Welcome aboard!
Lovely camping , enjoy every moment of life,
What about Shakshuka? Isn´t that an important Israeli thing as well? I would put it on the list.
Your videos are Aweaome! You really capture the Herat of Thai great country and you do it so well with great comparisons that are relatable! Kol HaKavod!
thank you Oren now I understand why my australia born Israeli husband loves his small burner camping stove & his family loves camping lol
Oh. we made alya to the South with kibbuts program "Bait rishon" - kibbuts still is very special way of life and psychology I would say. Thank you
In summer I will make some videos about the kibbutz!
Hi. I love all your videos!
Glad you like them!
~10:55 :Thank you so much for the good laugh about Shimon Peres. I miss him very much these days.
This is what I like! I want to really know Eretz Israel, her back roads, out of the way beauty spots, the garbage dumps, the ordinary, everyday life of the ordinary, everyday Israeli people.
brother like the way you are putting ur word s right you are good in ur job keeup I would like to visit Israel very much that is one my dream indeed I am glad thanks
Great video. Shimon Peres was far too left for me but he certainly had a very accomplished life.
Totally agree
Very interesting. Thanks.
Amazings vídeos .Greetings from BRASIL
Excellent! Regards from Serbia👍👍👍👏👏👏
Of course an Ashkenazi would forget the Hamin , insert your meat of choice + Laffa , or Hummus wipe , or a boiled egg + Jahnun + cut / crushed tomato ! :)
Schnitzel + Pita are definitely not even in the top 5 foods ... unless you come from Ramat Aviv (kind of used to be Israel's Beverly Hills) ! :P
Thank you So Much For Your Videos...
Thanks for this video & a little peek behind that prickly Israeli exterior - the barrier most Israeli have toward non-Israelis (?). What about the salted sunflower seeds? i thought those were the National Israeli snack food. Loved those ♡
Yalla!
Really genuine and nice guy
I don’t know about Peres. Wouldn’t you put ben gurion ahead if h were going to pick a person?
Please provide a link to Alex Einstein. I could not find anything in an English language search concerning him or his music.
Arik Einstein :-)
Unbelievable. Thank you for sharing this 👍 God bless 🙏
Thank you for mentioning Arik Einstein! I listen to his music at least once a week!
I’d say you left out tomatoes, hard boiled eggs, cheese, black break, and cans of sardines. This seemed to be the main food I ate every time I went on a hike and had a some kind of communal lunch. Very tasty.
