  • After receiving multiple requests on Facebook, Ghouly and his team travel to "Thirteen Graves" also known as "Warren/Batson Cemetery" just outside of Warren, Indiana. Many people have claimed the cemetery to be extremely haunted and have asked Ghouly to check it out. Here's the investigation some of you have been waiting for... Is"Thirteen Graves" truly haunted?

    Great video! I enjoy watching things like this. I’ve also wanted to do this a couple of years ago. I had a very interesting thing happen to me. I don’t recall as to what I saw exactly but a friend of mine said my eyes went black and all I said was, “he’s coming.” Then I supposedly pointed to a tree in the dark. Very spooky. Keep up the good work!

    Awesome channel man like it a lot. Wondering if you have ever heard about the Devil's Backbone in Upland back behind Taylor University? Specifically about the crazy road and almost blind end to it and the old school bus full of kids that i think is still there. Its a big local legend there

    I lived right down the road from there, visited that area as a teen and took by daughter there Saturday! May not be the original 13 graves and of course something is going to be there, it's a cemetery. We went to the covered bridge out in Geneva as well. I personally have spent the night at the Randolph County Infirmary.

    My question is,...with that box you're holding in your hand making those static noises,...how are you able to tell if anybody(spirits) are saying anything?

    • @GhoulyTV
      @GhoulyTV  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      MrDemizle explained it. Sometimes we dont understand what they are saying until I analyze the footage. Sometimes I have to slow down the evidence to be able to hear the words and determine what they're saying.

    • @loyalninecoffee2024
      @loyalninecoffee2024 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @MrDemizle I have requested multiple times that paranormal groups set these "spirit boxes" to sweep outside of legal broadcasting channels in order to reduce the likelihood that the "ghost voice" we are hearing isn't just the nightly grain market update. I have also requested that when using recorders to capture EVPs at least three different people using three different devices ask the same question three different times. If all three of you get the same response then we are on our way to having scientific proof. So far no ghost hunting group has taken me up on my request. I'm just as intrigued by the paranormal as the next guy, but if we are truly looking for "proof" then we need to conduct our investigations in a truly scientific manner and not like a recycled episode of Ghost Adventures. Lots of scientific instruments being used in a very unscientific way.

    When the bigger guy (sorry, I’m lousy with names) had the spirit box, I clearly heard “Stephen”. And I heard “Emily” instead of “Ghouly”. I would love to know if there’s a young boy named Stephen buried there. Great video. Where is your brother’s video posted?

    • @GhoulyTV
      @GhoulyTV  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It actually said David and Ghouly. I tried to depict Emily out and I could not hear the Em. It 100% said Ghouly. I've replayed it about 100 times with a surround sound gaming headset on and did not hear Emily or Stephen.

    I'm pretty new to this channel, and i'm certainly skeptical. My question is, if you can communicate with the dead or what have you, why not use the opportunity to ask some serious hard hitting questions? Do you guys ever do this? Is it even possible to get more than one quick word as a response from these spirits? Can they speak in sentences? If they can manipulate the flashlight for example, then shouldn't they be able to say more than one or two words at a time?

    • @GhoulyTV
      @GhoulyTV  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They are picking pieces of radio frequency and using it to communicate. It takes energy for them to push that word through. I have not heard a full sentance but I have heard the same voice come through multiple times. I listen for intelligent answers only while using the spirit box.

    I live just a few miles away and have my whole life and I’ve always been told there’s something there, but I’ve also been told by a old timer when I was younger that the batson cemetery isn’t the true location of the “13 graves” it’s actually about 3/4 of a mile down the road back off a 1/4 mile by the river and a wooded area. I’ve searched around to see if I could find evidence of this but was out at the wrong time of year with to much vegetation growth to look around

    • @GhoulyTV

      You are the 40th person to tell me this. I investigated the cemetery off what was online and what people have told me about it. There were no locals telling me the full story until the video was posted but anyways thanks for the comment. I've heard the same thing 40 times.

    • @gabehilliard9813
      @gabehilliard9813 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you go to the very back of the cemetery through the woods, cross the creek and go up the lil hill the other cemetery is right there. I actually found it by exploring with my friend and once we crossed the creek we were talking and then i heard my friend say from behind the creek we just crossed "Dude who are you talking too?" Shined my flash light at him at the creek and he was standing there shined it to my side where i thought he was and nothing was there.....we went on up the hill and found the other graves but after that was the last time i went to 13 graves.....

  • @shanebrown2604
    @shanebrown2604 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Unfortunately this is not the real 13 Graves. The actual graveyard is up the road about a half a mile. The graves that you are investigating at the front gate are nothing more than steps. The steps were put there for the horses that pulled the deceased to get good footing in rain and snow.
    I will not dispute the fact that there is paranormal activity! I myself have witnessed it in the past.

    My brother in law took me here thinking it would scare me. I disappointed his moronic trick. These Indiana graveyards are old and in disrepair, this particular one is in decent shape.
    I have heard that this isn't the actual location, but the one you have to go to i guess is an ATV ride off the road about a mile or so away from here. Ironic that he never tried scaring me at the real one, maybe there's something to the bs that I've heard.

    Yeah i used to live nearby. We used to cruise warren and around the area alot when we were kids. When we got tired of cruising we'd go park at 13 graves and smoke, hang out for awhile. Its peaceful until its NOT! One night a friend got clothing torn and a deep scratch like cut mark on her leg. Something grabbed her she said! A black car without headlights on would go tearing up and down the road at night. ALL. THE. TIME! Scary as crap. We just quit going at night. Way too evil. Like not haha i just got creeped out but something really evil there. Especially at night.

    I grew up barely 2 miles from this place and would sneak out of the house all the time to walk here at like 3am and sit among the tombstones for fun XD Maybe im the shadow man people saw? It's an interesting place to live and grow up. My mother is a prominent genealogist in the area and did a lot of restoration work for the Batson when I was a kid. She would hold all-night parties on Halloween to keep vandals from defacing the gravestones and it's become a bit of a Thing that the neighbors and those who live in the area keep an eye on things since it's such an old cemetery. Sadly lots of cemeteries see vandalism, especially if they're away from a high-traffic road. You're probably seeing so many cars since people take that road specifically to check on the cemetery on their way home.
    You definitely should've done some interviews with the people who stopped by! I've done some folklore research myself into the various stories of what the 13 graves moniker actually means and every single person living in this area has a different version to tell. Most are super off the mark, but it makes for a very interesting study in local folklore. Not to mention the other "13 graves" about a mile from the Batson back in the woods. It's on private property and there are a lot of stories about it as well, to the point that the two cemeteries get conflated a bit. All in all, you went to a very interesting location for cemetery history! Maybe next time consider contacting the local cemetery board to see if there is a genealogist or local historian who can give you some history on the area. Seeing some interviews from them and other locals would be really, really cool and I know my mom (lol and me too, I love ghost stories and I'm a history grad as well) would've loved to have been a consultant for your show!

    So I looked this up to show someone. I have been here, well after dark & will never go back!! You obviously you counted more graves one way then the other. The grave digger is real & so are many more stories. Those of us that live close can tell you, thirteen graves is a place do not to go after dark! And after dark you do not walk those stones. The spirits there are not one’s you want to meet or to attach yourself. There’s a reason we’re careful around here.
