    The lady with the Fluffy dog started off warm. I would have created rapport by asking "can i please pat your gorgeous dog" then proceeded to give it compliments and ask questions about it. OWNERS LOVE THEIR PETS. Show interest and care in the person before starting a pitch, be relatable, and gain trust. Pets are the best way to break the ice.

    Guys don’t worry I work with solar when you sign a deal like this you usually get around 4-7 bands he most likely just got 1k upfront

      Absolutely! My company pays up front of 800! For every system sold but when they actually install it that’s when we get the rest so about 30-90days we’ll get the rest which is about a thousand to couple grand which ain’t bad I’ve been broke and went get gas on a friday and out nowhere I get a deposit 4K in my account

    He needs to losen up a bit that comes with more experience he will do well. He has great leaders to lead him and a great program and support system. Honestly for the newer studs that is more valuable then a lower redline because he will be set up for success. Then the money and better pay naturally comes in good time.

    15:01 another good technique would be both a Takeaway, explaining to the homeowner they may not even qualify for solar. This process involves qualifying the home so you’re taking it away from them because they want to be like everybody else, they wanna be like sticking up with the Joneses so to speak. They don’t like to hear they can’t qualify for something.

      Because nothing is free.
      It's the same thing if you go in and present a price that's significantly lower than the other proposals before you. People will think you're "obviously skipping something" and go with the higher bid.
      It's all in how you position it.

      @@mechanicalrev I think you misread my message, I said that they don’t get the fact that energy is free because it’s from the sun.
      The installation cost for solar in California is free on a lease or PPA. If one were to finance it, it would technically still be free because you’d get a 30% federal tax credit that’s specifically meant for covering the installation cost lol
      No matter how you see it, you just have a lower monthly payment that’s fixed

      Parcel delivery apps like landglide or acres will give the info. I’ve noticed if you do it in a non-invasive way ie: “hey is this still the smiths here?” It can make you sound much more legitimate.

    My experience knocking doors for Solar is generally, really old people are not interested and will not listen. I usually do pitch but the first no I get, I move on.

      @@christophermoraga4242 I know, I did my entire solar career in Cali. That doesn’t mean you give a customer Solar for an astronomically inflated price. The installer pays 1.80 ppw to install the entire system.
      If a rep sells it at a 4.5 base, that’s robbery. The average system right now across the USA is 3.40. I would rather give the customer a realistic price than inflate my own commissions and screw them over.

    5:59 off the bat you have to know your audience you’re speaking to an older gentleman. You don’t talk to him like he’s your best friend. Also to help build better rapport on a door knock you should have a business card or two in hand handed to them politely that way they have a little bit more credibility besides some guy knocking at the door.
