Great video, very helpful write-up! Couple questions 1. The silicone - was that just to create a seal, or was it more to glue it in place? My thoughts were, gorilla glue or epoxy, or using nuts on the other side. Advise? 2. What size hole-saw did you use? I’m pretty terrified of that part myself, and I have 2 Sparks, wanted to do this to both 3. Why the power switch? Would it draw too much power if it was connected to the battery and basically on the entire time the jet ski was powered on? 4. Love the blacked out top piece you have (the cover on the very top), I originally plasti-dipped mine, then used a vinyl wrap. Neither have held up well, what did you use? Sammy Chandna hey I'm glad you like the video. To answer your question 1. Silicone is to seal and glue in place. I wouldn't use epoxy in case you want to replace a speaker. And some epoxies may melt the plastic. 2. The holesaw size I don't remember, but it's listed on the box of speakers when you buy it. Measure 6 times and go SLOW. 3. The power switch is just a precaution in case it shorts out or something happens and also no amp draw when off. And 4. it is vinyl wrap. Cool video man, this off season i plan on customizing my sea doo, and wanted your opinion, i plan on putting a sound system and also wrapping the sea doo, which one would you recommend to do first wrapping it or doing the sound system? Thanks for your time
When installing back the top deck some reason it is not sitting right? Any idea? I made room for the speakers by removing some foam, I also have the amp under the storage unit

Mohawk Dave wow that's loud for 50w, I was hesitating to spend 540 for 300w kicker amp and two 135w speakers. After seeing your video I'm gonna purchase it 100% because even your system is just wow.
Moustafa Harajli you gotta keep in mind, I went with the amp that's designed for a small battery and charging system like atv, or a motorcycle. Make sure that a 300w amp will be able to get sufficient power from your battery and charging system. I can have this playing music all day while riding at max volume. And the battery will not die.
No talk about ,if you played music ,stationary, with engine off, surely battery would be so down would not start jetski after 20 mins ?? would it have been more peace of mind with another battery added,they are so cheap to buy. ???
So far so good held up the entire season with very aggressive riding, and lots of upside down in the water time. At one point my teather didn't pull out while it was upside down and the hull took on a lot of water so I know the amp was submerged, but still works and still sounds great.
Anyway you could list all of the products you purchased for this project?
Since you had the cover off, maybe you should have used nuts and bolts to hold the speaker in with a little loctite.

Hey dave just curious hows the sound going wide open like 50mph? Can you still hear it enough or just barely?

You should have gotten the 2 ohm more watts that way. That’s what the system calls for.

How many watts is your amp? And how many watts does each speaker pull? I just bought a kawasaki ultra 310x and I really want to install audio!

Is it safe to drill holes in the jet ski?

You never actually went through where each wire gets connected.
Did you just wire the 12v ignition with the 12v constant? It's unclear what you did there.
