    Out of all the "How to play like Chon" videos yours is the best. Your song at the end actually sounds like something Chon would release.

    This is the "Play guitar like CHON" video i always wanted to find. Very nice content, and your song at the end sounds awesome.
    Btw, what about a "Play guitar like TTNG"?

    • @Jound
      @Jound  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it :D Let's Talk About Math Rock probably is a better resource for TTNG tbh. His stuff is great! I'll try to out my own spin on it maybe in the future, though I'm currently working on something else that's been highly requested ;) thanks for stopping by my dude!

  • @6idangle
    @6idangle 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I have been working on some of the stuff off the EP, have learned temporarily destabilized and it took me so long to get it decently clean enough. Chon is one of those bands that inspires you to pick up the guitar and learn something.

    I know this video came out over a year, but it was so helpful, especially the part with the songwriting...
    so i just wanted to say thank you!

  • @tyshred9251
    @tyshred9251 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Lots of good info man. I can play chon stuff no problem, I play lots of tech death but love jazz fusion and blues, old country with mad chicken pickin (hybrid pick now days) so learning that stuff was real natural. This kind of video helps a lot with learning riffs and why things work. It is cool seeing someone break this down in the most basic theory terms most can understand and apply. Good on ya man! Awesome technique outline and the little chon riffs you chose to show were great ones for people to get into. Seriously good work man. Small guitartube channels dont get the cred deserved!

    i struggle with writing the cool string skipping licks and riffs most, i feel i’m pretty proficient in hybrid picking and chords. it’s hard to write cool sounding lead parts! still working at it though, maybe messing with some arpeggios will help. you really emulated their style a lot with the song you wrote by the way!
