Thank you so much! After trying for years with no success I just did one updo braid. YEA!🙂 it's not neat at all but I did it. With continued practice I will get better and perfect this style. The key to MY understanding this braiding style is when you showed how hands should be (placement) and DO NOT rest your hands on head using fingertips only. That bit of information made all the difference for me. Blessings 😊

Wow. I knew how to braid cornrows the regular way but your tutorial just taught me how to braid backwards in under 30 mins amazing now I can do a pineapple braided bun. Thank you at first I was like how do you use your middle finger to grab like hoooowwww but I slowed the video down then put it back to normal and kept grabbing the beginning strands. The tip about flipping your hands is gold

You can try using your thumbs and your index fingers to braid upwards . I havebeen doing this for years and I find it quite easy to do and I do not have to pause when plaiting. I also close my eyes so that I can increase my concentration and the sensitivity in my fingers and I take my time. I do not have a u tube channel.

The nape of my hair is so short that I have trouble catching it. Do you have any suggestions? I am trying to grow my hair. Any pointers on how to grow it is greatly appreciated! I am trying to learn how to braid my hair going up in the back and side.

For braiding the hair up wards in the back do you first grab two strands
Can you do this on straight hair??
