First off, thanks for the content and videos. I have got a lot out of em. I'm not big on posting comments, but I do have some thoughts on this material that might be relevant to this discussion. I do agree that ranking lists are subjective to a large degree. This list is Crablok's ranks. It doesn't need to be yours. My top to bottom ranking is totally different from his, and for completely different reasons than his. That is what I find so good about the mechanics of this game. This game system allows a player to use the entire content to generate a list tailored to your own preferences. Take the a fore mentioned U-wing for example. I have a list that turns that ship into something radically different than it's intended use, and that ship is deadly in that role now. To all out there- It is not just the stat line, Or the dial, or the upgrade cards, etc. It is the totality of each individual piece of the of the pie fitting together. Personally I go about list building very differently than most others I come across. There is enough game content available to make any given ship do almost anything you want it to do, and make any given ship interact any way you want it to. just some food for thought. Thanks for the ranking and explanation. I'm still getting into the game and buying the ships. I didn't know we could start with the attack shuttle, I thought we needed the ghost
I was surprised the ARC-170 wasn't in this video, so I'm interested to see how your top ten lines up. I always appreciate getting another perspective on the ships and it helps me think outside my box when creating lists. I totally agree with your U-wing comments, I've not really figured out how to make a list I know I would be happy with using the U-Wing. Where does Sabine's Masterpiece fit into your list?
Solid. Love the Outrider, just a very fun and reliable ship to fly, and I would probably rank the YT-2400 a bit higher. Everything else here looks about right for me, though I would probably swap the Z-95 and HWK positions. I like to occasionally throw a HWK out there as a third ship in a build, bringing a mix of offense and support for Rebels (or Scum). Looking forward to the top 10. ... Oh wait, the U-wing, that goes higher as well. There I have to disagree. This should be looked at as the Rebel Lambda. Same upgrade slots (trading cannon for torpedo), same actions, and similar mission profile. It costs slightly more, and for that has two less health, but it gains a better dial (plus a title that can do 180s), and the other side of that title giving it an additional agility. Perhaps what the U-wing is really lacking is just a Rebel 'Palpatine' or 'Kylo'. Until then, I think it is a solid ship that is just not needed for anything presently. Did recently acquire it, using it as a third ship in a list, flying the generic pilot with upgrades: FCS, Hera, Recruit, TacJam, and title. Made for an effective gun platform, and with Hera it can just go stationary if it wants. I like it more than I initially expected when I first saw the expansion.
Sad to see the 2400 so low. Meta wise the two uniques are well up there. Very usable as seen winning championships across the pond and never needing to be nerfed. I have nothing against your opinion and agree with you on some points. I am sad about the U-Wing. My mind was frantically racing for counter points but can't really argue it. I largely agree with your rankings thus far... I'm a big Y-Wing fan, and in fact that was what got me into the game, but via Scum (and I'm glad that there are Scum Ys...or "ScummYs"?!?). I have 2 of the Scum Ys currently, but 4 for Rebels. As a completist, I have made it a priority to get at least one of every ship, and now I have all of them (after only playing for about 2 months!), but I also feel the U-Wing and the GR-75 aren't very good ships in general. I love the CR-90, though, and am hoping to play it in Epic at some stage...I've mostly flown Scum Epic stuff, so the C-ROC and friends, generally, and while I wish there were some things about it that were better, I'm pretty happy with what can result from it...and I hope they have another Scum Epic ship soon, not only to better balance the three factions, but perhaps to revitalize Epic play.
One of the biggest issues with the U-Wing is having to declare you're doing the 180. So stupid. I love the U-Wing but FFG did not do a good job designing it, seemed like a rush job to get it out.
You don't have to declare you're doing the 180, there a ways around it, the ship does fail because there are no uses for transports in space fights (in xwing at least)
I want to make a game mode for Star Wars rebellion by getting 2 x wings v 4 ties and the rebels must protect the gr-75 like return of the Jedi the rebels with by killing all ties or surviving 6 rounds sand empire wins by killing the gr-75 and 1 x-wing
How in the World is the X-wing not in the top 10 i for sure thought since you kept saying 2 haul ships that the A-wing would appear in this list. especially since you threw the E-wing in here saying it cost too much.
I'm kind of disapointed to see E Wing and YT - 2400 so down on your list. Since they were some of the First suggestion you gave on what expensions to buy First, in the What to buy when on a budget video. I've bought them both. But anyway, great content on all of your videos! I'll be waiting for the top 10 and for imperial list.
Well it's sort of different. Here I'm measuring my preference of the ship itself, separate from the expansion as a whole. For example, the GR-75 is #19, yet buying it gives you some great new cards, like new X-Wing pilots and astromechs.

Biggs is definitely one of the main reason you still see the t-65. Just take a look at how much Biggs is ran in each tournament every year since the game started. However, the t-65 has much, much better pilot and upgrade options than the z-95 and attack shuttle.
elis gibbard z-95 has much less upgrades, but the attack shuttle has a better upgrade bar Crew and turret are better upgrades than astromech and the massively overpriced torpedoes

Why is outrider so low? i would out it at 6 in my opinion.
