I heard the song on parenthood. Had to go buy the whole cd on itunes to support you guys. The video is so sad when his dog is gone. The entire video is about how him and the dog have all the strength they need to survive together and then the dog is gone. The end of the song is happy and the video makes me want to cry....Thanks for all the weird emotions. But in seriousness I love the song.

Hands down the most beautiful love song I have heard. So glad I stumbled on this! The lyrics r so tender & artist's voice is as well(without feeling feminine in the least;)). Simple song that has profound affect. This is art in it's truest form.
As an artist I think the video was really good, including the ending. It's not depressing to me at all. It's reality, where in life, there are multiple possible endings. And endings are not always happy but that doesn't mean they have to be sad. Also as in life, the video is not just about the ending, its about the journey. I liked it. Plus, I could really relate to the video in whole due to my certain path I'm walking through right now. Thanks for making it, and thanks for not being so obvious.

I didn't get the music video. This song comes off as a guy at the beach saying a girl and him should "build a world in the shape of us" it doesn't have an urban feel with this song. It's a beautiful song. I just don't think the video matches the song of my interpretation.
It's cool you interpret the song as being 'at the beach'. I've not heard anyone say that before and that's the beauty of all art right? It's open to each individual's interpretation. The video is not my interpretation of the song however. I'm not a huge fan of videos that directly match the lyrics of the song as I don't think they require any thought. It's much more interesting to come up with something different.
