    Love love love this tutorial. In the back of my mind, I’ve always wanted to make flies, but they seem so intimidating. Thank you for this in-depth tutorial that has made me feel like oh I think I can do it. I’ve ordered a couple of the rulers that you use or suggested from Amazon and used my rewards in one of the purchases.. I’m excited for all of it, the flying geese, the bonus blocks. Thank you again for making this tutorial.. much Quilty love to you♥️

I am a truly beginner and haven’t mastered any of the blocks. My rectangles about a quarter inch larger no matter how carefully I match the squares to the rectangle. Help!!! Thank you again Ledine.

    Your video for making Flying Geese blocks is amazing! You are such a fantastic teacher! I have been tasked with repairing my son's awarding winning flying geese quilt which was made for him by my Mother in the 1980's. Unfortunately, his dog got to the quilt and put many holes in the quilt, most went completely through the quilt. This quilt was hand stitched by my mother and was beautiful. I simply appliqued patches onto the back of the quilt but on the front, I want to repair it while honoring my Mother. I am not a quilter, at this point, however, I do have many fabric remnants from the original fabrics used and I have most of my Mother's old quilting supplies, rulers, cutting mats and rotary cutters. This video gives me hope that I may be able to repair it without completely ruining it. This means so much to me. Thanks again for making this video with such easy to follow instructions.

    I love flying geese blocks, but have been having difficulty cutting off my points. Your video has the best solution that I have seen for dealing with that issue. Thank you!! One question: How do you feel about trimming off that foundation rectangle? Is there an advantage to leaving it in place? As to rulers, I admit that I have bought quite a few. However, even though it is sometimes easier, I like to know how to plan my blocks without buying another ruler. Thank you again. I will defintely be watching more of your videos

    I have a love hate relationship with specialty rulers. I like the loc bloc rulers because they are so simple. Some of the rulers have so much information on them which makes them very confusing. What I really like is being able to take my basic rulers and do the same thing as the fancy ruler. I ordered a really pretty pattern a while ago. When it came I was so excited--then I read the pattern all the way through like a good quilter should. I found out that I need THREE specialty rulers!!!! Of course they were there brand😮. Each ruler was $19.98. Only another $60.00. I promptly repackaged the pattern, added a not so delicate letter and mailed the pattern back. I was really disgusted with them! Needless to say I’m out the price of the pattern and return postage and I haven’t heard from them. Poor me😢

    • @sugarstitchesquiltco
      @sugarstitchesquiltco  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh no!!! I hate to hear that! I try to never require any speciality tool in my patterns because I sure wouldn’t want a surprise like that! Good luck to you!
