I was hoping you'd mention when Quicksilver lost his powers after House of M, only to become even more powerful by huffing Terrigen Mist that he stole from the Inhumans. So powerful that he could travel through time even though it aged him rapidly.
I always felt like people never actually appreciated comics. I talked to some people a while ago and I asked them what they thought about superheroes and they said "marvel is better" and when I asked them why, they said "because the movies are better and no one wants to read the comics" most people just don't value comics and only care about the movies
Sorry I did word that badly. The hate for sure is from both sides but why can’t people love both? They both have great characters. The cinematic universe is for sure better on the marvel side but people can’t forget how great the writing is for DC comics and for their animation

You missed a few speed feats- such as him running from Tibet and Indonesia and back within a few seconds, him crossing the entire planet in 1 minute and a half, and him actually running at light speed . But still, this was an amazing video- love Quicksilver appreciation
I think Quicksilver being more underpowered than the Flash is a good thing. His speed seems more relatable and gritty compared to the time traveling, uber vibrating, and just general OP stuff.

Similar to how DC doesn't respect their version of Telepaths enough. Think of it this way. DC's Speedsters and Marvel's Telepaths both respectively caused their writers to constantly write themselves into a corner (there's too many plotholes where events could've been avoided if Speedsters and Telepaths used their powers). So from a perspective, it can be seen as an indirect response on the Marvel writers part to have none of what DC is having, and vice versa.

It would be tricky since Cytorak doesn't give you a share of his powers if you already have inherent abilities of your own (dont ask, I'm still unsure why that's the case...maybe an ego thing?). But if they got around that, he would be almost be a planet-level threat....that much speed and strength combined with unstoppable momentum could break physics altogether
Most powerful Quicksilver was during his solo comic book run where he came into contact with Isotope E. It boosted his powers exponentially and manifested the powers of Magneto to a masterful level. That combo would make him one of the most powerful mutants ever, though the power was fleeting given it's source.

He's travelled through time in the comics via his speed so I'd he's not too far off from being omega level. His speed is just not crazy over the top like flash is all the time like most Marvel and DC comparisons.

Quicksilver is technically an Omega Level Mutant just because of his speed. He can also manipulate time meaning he speed it up or slow it down. They proved that in the Fox X-Men movies. He does it in Days of Future Past when he saves Professor X, Magneto and Wolverine in that kitchen scene. I remember it vividly and plus he's one of my top ten all-time favorite superheroes.
I mean, in the X-man movie, he brought almost everyone out of the school when it was exploding, and even when time was slow for him he still went faster. He had time to screw around a bit.

He doesn't just outrun it: He speeds in to get at the explosion point first, cracks his knuckles casually, and asseses the situation, flicks away some shrapnel, he goes back in and out of the mansion many times,(including once to set up something to catch the kids in) and fools around a bit (including moonwalking thru a room, throwing a dart, making an action pose after he bursts thru a door, etc) while saving about 20 or so kids, Beast, Moira,(who he plays smooches with first) a dog, and even some fish.😲
I remember reading an issue where Quicksilver is having a conversation with one of Magnetos Acolytes and while it looked like he was standing there talking he explained that he had been through the facility multiple times looking for hostages.

Quicksilver's powers have at one time been explained as TEMPORAL and not based on SPEED. Meaning he's actually slowing down time around him instead of moving faster than everyone.
In case you can't start anything with the Mach 5 The TH-camr Gubz calculated the speed of many different speedsters. MCU Quicksilver ran at Mach 4, when he saved Hawkeye and Costel. Fox Quicksilver ran at Mach 8202, when he saved everyone in X-Men Apocalypse Actually for most parameters (exept father and wether he is a mutant) comics Quicksilver is almost identical to MCU Quicksilver, while Fox Quicksilver is more of a grey Flash
I think the biggest difference between Flash and Quicksilver is the Flash can chose when to go fast. QS is always fast and has to slow down so he can interact with other people.
Well that and the fact any iteration of the flash that's connected to the speed force can basically amplify their speed to infinite levels because the speed force is endless, people also leave out the fact that Barry Allen, wally west, and Bart Allen are extremely smarter that QS as well amd use the speed force in different ways aside from just going fast like creating lightning, opening portals to different universe's and straight up take people's speed away from them or in wallys case slowing down someone's molecules to the point they are "frozen" and can't move but still experience everything around them, flashes are just simply way more over powered but I do like the more "grounded" QS speed is

What people get wrong about that scene was that he wasn’t trying to dodge bullets he was trying to shield Hawkeye and the kid from getting hit by taking the bullets himself, he honestly probably could’ve and should’ve just grabbed Hawkeye and the kid and ran them out of there cause it looked like he was fast enough and he clearly can move people away at super speed as we’ve seen in the train scene

I would hope he could accelerate his mind to match that speed and therefore deccelerate it back down when not needed. Else he would be in a constant super speed hell.

I like the story when Quicksilver was depowered by Wanda. And he exposes himself to Terrigen gas, and gained “time displacement” or jumping in the future and back. He later got his old power back. It was a great storyline.
I have definitely develop a new liking for Quicksilver mainly because of his defeats and his character in Fox X-Men movies I like how he was such a help to the X-Men not to mention he's the adopted surrogant son of magneto ☺️
seeing he said his weight in kilos, I'm almost certain he was measuring his speed in meters. this would make more sense too because Mach 4.5 is approximately 3450 mph and 1500 meters per second is roughly 3355 miles per hour

Comic wise, Quicksliver can run around the speed of light (186,000 miles per second). One time he out ran a radio wave but most of the time he stays around Mach 5 or slower. His speed puts him in the same category as Earth speedsters Monica Rambeau, Notthstar and Aurora.

Exactly. He is just really OP and I respect MCU for turning his speed way down. And also, they made the character a little bit more their own considering he actually leaves a blue blur behind him like in the comics, and also having Magneto not be their father is actually comic accurate.

The FOX Quicksilver is literally Mach INFINITE. Because to the FOX quicksilver, it literally seems like he stops time. That's not what super speed is whatsoever

The Rouges Gallery are pretty powerful Mirror Master can travel dimensions through reflection, Weather Wizard can control the weather, Turtle and Captain can slow down time. Barry and Wally can run at light speed but it doesn't mean they can't be caught slipping.
I know that the FOX version of QuickSilver seems OP, but it’s not exaggerated... According to the source material, he really is that powerful and skilled! I’m so happy we get to see him in the MCU! Thanks Arris!!!
Can’t tell who the baddy is at this point. Agatha, Nightmare, her son, Chton? Seeing how Korg and Meek are goofy sidekicks, and Death isn’t even a physical character, so many MCU characters are completely different, it’s hard to tell.
Who else noticed the Quicksilver slowing down in the mansion explosion scene? If you noticed closely, in the beginning of the scene, time was almost at a standstill for him, but by half way mark, things had started moving considerably faster around him, and by the end, he was at a third of his initial speed. Personally, I think it's a really great attention to detail that got missed by almost everybody, since I haven't seen anyone from mainstream reviewing and details community highlight it.
Quick Sliver has a point. Imagine if the entire would moved like American internet download speed. It took me several hours to download 12 gb. I would go bad if life moved that slow for me.
Love how during The Great AVENGERS/JUSTICE LEAGUE crossover, a VERY frustrated Quicksilver states" I may not be as Fast as your Flash, But I am Fast".....And then proceeds to beat up Hawkman and Blue Beetle 😅

I'm always utterly fascinated by super speed characters in comics, because if you apply some laws of physics, they're some of the most powerful beings in the universe. First off, their composition has to be near indestructible, like every aspect of them. I do wonder if the speed force for the flash helps with this, but I don't know with quicksilver. OK, so the faster you move, the heavier you become. It's explained well here: watch For these speedsters to maintain these speeds, their high twitch fibers have to be untearable, their bones unbreakable. This isn't even equating the wind force they would have to confront while running. For example, when jet fighters eject moving around 700 miles an hour they often break multiple bones in their body because of the force of the wind that hits them once their seat leaves the cockpit. So someone like Quicksilver has to equate that his mass relative to his speed is enormous and a tremendous pressure to his body. Then you have the relative pushback from the wind force, meaning these beings actually run close to twice what a speedometer would read. It's nuts.
I like how he isn't too overly quick where it becomes stupid that he doesn't just defeat everyone instantly

I like how Quicksilver has an additional meaning to his name whether its intentional or not. Quicksilver is another name for the element mercury, which shares its name with the Roman god Mercury who was the swift messenger for the gods and whose winged feet gave him great speed.
This is an old comment... but wow. In the Portuguese translation of Marvel's comics, Quicksilver *is* called Mercúrio-- or Mercury, in English. So now it makes a lot of sense...
Quicksilver's powers have at one time been explained as TEMPORAL and not based on SPEED. Meaning he's actually slowing down time around him instead of moving faster than everyone.
His time on the couch with Doc Samson was my favorite QuickSilver moments

The TH-camr Gubz calculated the speed of many different speedsters. MCU Quicksilver ran at Mach 4, when he saved Hawkeye and Costel. Fox Quicksilver ran at Mach 8202, when he saved everyone in X-Men Apocalypse
Actually for most parameters (exept father and wether he is a mutant) comics Quicksilver is almost identical to MCU Quicksilver, while Fox Quicksilver is more of a grey Flash

I think the biggest difference between Flash and Quicksilver is the Flash can chose when to go fast. QS is always fast and has to slow down so he can interact with other people.
Well that and the fact any iteration of the flash that's connected to the speed force can basically amplify their speed to infinite levels because the speed force is endless, people also leave out the fact that Barry Allen, wally west, and Bart Allen are extremely smarter that QS as well amd use the speed force in different ways aside from just going fast like creating lightning, opening portals to different universe's and straight up take people's speed away from them or in wallys case slowing down someone's molecules to the point they are "frozen" and can't move but still experience everything around them, flashes are just simply way more over powered but I do like the more "grounded" QS speed is

What people get wrong about that scene was that he wasn’t trying to dodge bullets he was trying to shield Hawkeye and the kid from getting hit by taking the bullets himself, he honestly probably could’ve and should’ve just grabbed Hawkeye and the kid and ran them out of there cause it looked like he was fast enough and he clearly can move people away at super speed as we’ve seen in the train scene
Loving how Arris says "1500miles per hour" when the panel clearly states "1500 M.P.S" so either it's meters a second or miles a second
I'm glad someone else noticed that. Most likely it's meters/second since the other measurements are metric in that panel.
@@minidini10 Meters a second would work better to as speed of sound/mach speed is 340 meters a second and Pietro is said to be around Mach 5 as a casual/cruising speed. 1500 meters a second is ROUGHLY mach 5

The think I liked from his early appearances was that he was super fast, but not absurdly fast. This made him more relatable and vulnerable and real.

I like the story when Quicksilver was depowered by Wanda. And he exposes himself to Terrigen gas, and gained “time displacement” or jumping in the future and back. He later got his old power back. It was a great storyline.

seeing he said his weight in kilos, I'm almost certain he was measuring his speed in meters. this would make more sense too because Mach 4.5 is approximately 3450 mph and 1500 meters per second is roughly 3355 miles per hour

Comic wise, Quicksliver can run around the speed of light (186,000 miles per second). One time he out ran a radio wave but most of the time he stays around Mach 5 or slower. His speed puts him in the same category as Earth speedsters Monica Rambeau, Notthstar and Aurora.

Quicksilver's top speed came in Avengers #688 & #690 where he has Picosecond feats and moving beyond the limits of speed in the universe.

The Rouges Gallery are pretty powerful Mirror Master can travel dimensions through reflection, Weather Wizard can control the weather, Turtle and Captain can slow down time. Barry and Wally can run at light speed but it doesn't mean they can't be caught slipping.

Who else noticed the Quicksilver slowing down in the mansion explosion scene? If you noticed closely, in the beginning of the scene, time was almost at a standstill for him, but by half way mark, things had started moving considerably faster around him, and by the end, he was at a third of his initial speed.
Personally, I think it's a really great attention to detail that got missed by almost everybody, since I haven't seen anyone from mainstream reviewing and details community highlight it.

I'm always utterly fascinated by super speed characters in comics, because if you apply some laws of physics, they're some of the most powerful beings in the universe. First off, their composition has to be near indestructible, like every aspect of them. I do wonder if the speed force for the flash helps with this, but I don't know with quicksilver. OK, so the faster you move, the heavier you become. It's explained well here: watch For these speedsters to maintain these speeds, their high twitch fibers have to be untearable, their bones unbreakable. This isn't even equating the wind force they would have to confront while running. For example, when jet fighters eject moving around 700 miles an hour they often break multiple bones in their body because of the force of the wind that hits them once their seat leaves the cockpit. So someone like Quicksilver has to equate that his mass relative to his speed is enormous and a tremendous pressure to his body. Then you have the relative pushback from the wind force, meaning these beings actually run close to twice what a speedometer would read. It's nuts.
