it's a joy watching you guys discover the greatest musician of our times. He brought me back to music at a time I was drifting away and he's been my anchor for 30 years.
You 2 are my favorite on TH-cam. I'm one of the fans of dave matthews band for many years. I've been to 40+shows myself. Every show is unique. Different setlists each night. Watching you two not only watch and listen, but you both feel the music. It hits you like it hit us when we all heard them for the first time It's absolutely beautiful. You won't dislike any song you pick from them. ❤ Welcome to the fandom!
I love the emotion of Andre and Domnica (sorry if I butchered the spelling of either your names). Seeing you process the emotion is uplifting and you always brighten my day with your videos. Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds cover all of DMB's music, stripped down just the two of them. The first video you reacted to of Dave Matthews (Bartender) was of this vein. There are easily 30 songs in their catalog alone. Some of the Dave and Tim songs I prefer over DMB songs. But, happy to have all of Dave Matthews stuff. He also has a biographical video on YT that is time well spent.
A love like the 2 of you have is the dreaming tree that so many of us have mourned, or never got further than just the dream. Every empathetic reassurance or gentle hug, heals me to watch. You stare at each other in awe. Don’t take that for granted. Thank you for visiting “those places“ with us.
First song of theirs I ever heard when this album first came out and I was instantly hooked and have been ever since, seen DMB and few times, Dave & Tim twice and Dave on his own twice. Legend he is.
Your reaction and observations were spot on. I've listened to this song a hundred times and never made it through without crying. The saxophone sets the mournful tone immediately. The lyrics are filled with pain, remorse, regret and grief. It was actually nice to cry WITH you instead of by myself. Thank you for covering this song and my favorite band. They really are unique. I've yet to hear another band come close to what they do. Love feeling like we are sharing them together. Thank you for your honest reaction. It meant the world to me to cry with someone else.
It's great to see how both of you absorb the emotion of the songs. That's what's made me a fan of them. You always feel something. Best live band ever IMO
This has always been my favorite DMB song. Thanks for the reaction and getting me back to listening to this extraordinary band. I forgot how great they were.
This is one of the best versions of this song. Chills every time I hear it. Each solo adds to the feeling of the song. Then Roi's pennywhistle just puts it over the top.
Thank you for this. This always brings me the same emotions that you shared with us today. The musicianship is out of this world and Dave’s emotion can be felt in every verse. A little “Crush” will brighten your mood.
I wish the band was more popular outside of the cultists like me who worship them because your reactions are so genuine and ya'll deserve way more views. Please go to a show, you deserve it! I recommend SPAC, Gorge, Alpine or Gilford
You guys do such a great job of really listening to a song for the first time. I'm consistently impressed on how many little nuances you pick up on during your first listen. I'm glad you are enjoying DMB so much. I've always thought they get credit for being a great band but no one talks about how great of a song writer Dave is.
Absolutely Masterpiece song! And i agree with Andrei. That the song to me is when I am in total anguish and pain saying to God why is certain thing or events or situations happening that is bringing destruction to something or harm to good people!!! Or when certain things are happening to me that are not good. I feel like that song Dave is singing. So, I really identified with this song.
I love your reactions. I am a HUGE DMB fan and been to many concerts. I speak for all diehards when I say you’ve missed a few of his most beloved songs by hardcore fans that I’d love to see a reaction to. The Dreaming Tree is a favorite for sure but these are slightly more loved: 1. #41 (New Jersey 1999 best video) 2. The Stone (also New Jersey 99) 3. Seek Up 4. Lie in our Graves 5. The last Stop (Chicago) If you love Dave then these will blow your mind
@@OvercookedOctopusFeet Yea last stop is more my personal taste. I didn’t love it until I saw it live and something about when all the lights go out and come back on made me a junkie for the song. Can’t say it’s as universally loved as the others and most hardcore fans including me would have Dreaming Tree in front of it. I think they would enjoy the energy and emotion of it live. Honestly I would have put Shotgun on this list but after Dreaming Tree I don’t want to lead them down a path of darkness and that’s about as dark as a Dave song gets.
Another great reaction guys, keep ‘em coming. I’d suggest giving Lie in our Graves from the Live in Chicago album a listen. Great version of a banger of a song. Another one of my favorites is Seek Up… definitely a bit of a slower song, but ones of my all time favorites
What a great video both of you, thank you for being raw. This song was written by the bassist hence why the style is a bit different but it's about his wife and he having a miscarriage and that leading to difficulties in their marriage. Please more dmb content though! "The last stop" live trax vol 1 version will blow you away!
Don't know if you noticed or mentioned it but this song is in 7/8 time (relatively unusual in mainstream music), which I think, coupled with those guitar and bass motifs give it that dreamlike or 'trance' feeling. One of my favourite DMB songs for sure.
do Dave Maathews Band - #41. some short live version if you want, but its glorious, impossible to not feel the world differently after listening to it.
PLEASE CREATE A DAVE MATTHEWS PLAYLIST!!!!!!!!🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤. I BEG YOU!! I love all your reactions but I want to find all of them in one place!!!!!!! Please PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE 😊

This song breaks me every time I hear it, I love the way both of you reacted as well

Thank you for your beautiful comment. Much love from Romania 💚
As an aging father, this song is super emotional.
This is one of 2 songs written (musically) by the Bassist Stefan Lessard. The other one is Hunger for the Great Light.
First song of theirs I ever heard when this album first came out and I was instantly hooked and have been ever since, seen DMB and few times, Dave & Tim twice and Dave on his own twice. Legend he is.

I've seen them a few times but have never heard this one live and it's one of my favs . The trumpet!!!

This has always been my favorite DMB song. Thanks for the reaction and getting me back to listening to this extraordinary band. I forgot how great they were.
Please do the stone!! Top 3 for me and I know you two will enjoy it so much
There is a solo version out there of just Dave and I have to admit, might be my favorite - so intimate.
Love it ❤️ I hope “The Stone” has been recommended to you guys. You would absolutely love it.
Yes!
This is one of the best versions of this song. Chills every time I hear it. Each solo adds to the feeling of the song. Then Roi's pennywhistle just puts it over the top.
We need to get you to a show! Love your reactions! Thank you for doing so many of them. Keep em coming!
I agree... How do we get them to a show??? I'm open to ideas...

You guys are awesome! All of us DMB fans are enjoying the journey so much. Much love!!!
Thanks a lot 💚

I ❤ you both!! I can't help but smile from ear to ear when i watch your videos!
You are so kind. Thank you 😊
Yeah, gifted with another DMB performance 😊
Saw this one live this year, it was magical!

I agree with all, except 'The Last Stop'.. as a life long DMB fan i still find that song irritating. Personal taste i guess 🤷
I send 2 or 3 a month. Many, many great songs still left for them to discover.
@@darkhelmet5978 We all respect what you do. Thank you.
Thank you 😊

I have to agree with that, you should listen to the stone one of there best and the first time I heard Dave was on PBS playing the stone in 93

Dave Matthews has collaborated on some decent wines, one called Dreaming Tree. Give it a try while listening!
Do yourselves a favor and react to their song "Crush"
