    Thank You for this detailed Masterclass, Ann!
    I've propagated pothos, syngonium so far in water. For Succulents, I didn't have much success on water propagation earlier, but now I know the trick :) (thankyou)
    Please keep these master classes coming. Love to have the basics cleared up.

    Thank you Anne for sharing another informative video again.
    About the Sansevieria cut which you mentioned apart from the 45deg angle, I try to do it to identify the top and bottom side of the cutting, otherwise it looks the same from both sides. Maybe some others do it for the same reason, not specifically for more surface area.

    I had over watered a ZZ plant and it started turning yellow. I just took a chance, took just the leaves and put them in a pot full of plain garden soil. And the I kept the pot in a outside-corner of a window, and forgot about it. After around 4-5 months, I was cleaning that corner, and to my surprise, each and every leaf had shot out a new growth! I think, I've put up a combined pic of it on instagram.
    Please do make videos of other methods of propagation. Always a pleasure to learn from you.

    Nice videos, Ann... I water propagate a lot of cuttings, so agree with all the suggestions outlined by you... Have had success with most of my water propagations, but struggling with Syngonium Albo and leaf-less stem cuttings of Monstera Peru.... The first one didn't root at all, and died after a month, though in my experience syngoniums are pretty easy to water propagate... Monstera Peru leaf-less cuttings, on the other hand, are green and healthy looking after 3 months in water but show still no root or leaf growth....

    Coming back after a year and watching it again. Found this tip online a while back. Adding a drop or two of hydrogen peroxide 3% (Please make sure that it is 3%)will prevent the algae growth and accelerate the rooting process of the cuttings in water.

    Tysm for providing water propagation master class as in a day or two I have to propogate some of my plants and now seeing your videos I know how to do it and am confident enough
    Also I had a question that in some plants which we bring from nursery it has plastic net basket for roots so while reporting should we cutoff the basket or as it repot it ?

    • @AshleyDsouza-qm6if
      @AshleyDsouza-qm6if 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If u cut that basket make sure u cut it carefully so that the roots are not damaged. I tried it with my begonia but it lost all the leaves and now has started to grow new ones.

    Hi Ann,
    Thanks for the to-the-point info on propagation through cuttings. While I have been following your advice for quite some time now, I have had success in propagating pothos, sansevieria, ZZ plant, Syngonium, and other philodendrons following the methods. However, I have failed miserably while trying with Ficus/rubber plant leaf cuttings. Please guide.

    • @brandonpontes7212
      @brandonpontes7212 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I guess the reason you failed in water propagation of ficus and rubber plant is the presence of nectar in the stem.

    • @swatipawar1491
      @swatipawar1491 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@brandonpontes7212 must be true. Seeing the leaves droop, I might have hurriedly put it in water before the letting the cut dry. Is stalk formation necessary for rubber plant cuttings to thrive too?
