I arrived in West Haven in 1971 when all that was left were stretches of pavement from pathways or roads within the old park grounds. It was clear to me that something major had been there once, but after seeing still photos, verbal descriptions from old-timers, and videos like this one, I’m amazed at the size and scope of the Savin Rock development!

Savin Rock closed when I was 8 in 1966 so seeing this remarkable video is more than I remember. Thank you Sonny Martone!
