Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure Official Trailer #1 - Keanu Reeves Movie (1989) HD
In the small town of San Dimas, a few miles away from Los Angeles, there are two nearly brain dead teenage boys going by the names of Bill S, Preston ESQ. and Ted Theodore Logan, they have a dream together of starting their own rock and roll band called the "Wyld Stallyns". Unfortunately, they are still in high school and on the verge of failing out of their school as well, and if they do not pass their upcoming history report, they will be separated as a result of Ted's father sending him to military school. But, what Bill and Ted do not know is that they must stay together to save the future. So, a man from the future named Rufus came to help them pass their report. So, both Bill and Ted decided to gather up historical figures which they need for their report. They are hoping that this will help them pass their report so they can stay together.

When I was 8 my dad took me to see Keanu Reeves perform Hamlet at Yale. This was shortly after Bill & Ted came out. During the scene where Hamlet (Reeves) is talking to the skull someone in the audience yelled out, "Excellent!" Keanu looked out into the crowd and yelled, "Party On," then got right back into character. I've liked him ever since. He may not be the best actor in the world, but he knows his limitations, he knows who he is and he's comfortable --not arrogant-- with who he is.

Still, I like Keanu, he has a limited scope, but with the years has encountered a certain type of character that does very well (frustrated introverted heroes).

I live and work near Metro Center Mall, in Phoenix, AZ. So sad to see such a fun a vibrant mall from my childhood in disarray. None of the memorable stuff from Excellent Adventure survived. The ice rink was replaced with an arcade, and eventually was emptied, most of the shops are empty now, with outlet stores and junk stores if any, a big portion of southern side of the mall was demolished and turned into a Walmart. Literally watching the mall scene gives me chills of how that mall used to be, used to be huge water falls, awesome candy store, so many people, such a great place as a child. So glad I got to traverse it in the good times, and it will always remind me of this movie.

I used to stand around in that mall for hours around 2000-2001 trying to get people to watch movie trailers and do a survey. Our kiosk was near the music store and every day someone would run out with CDs and dash for the mall exit. It was actually a much more fun mall to work at than AZ Mills. I would try to imagine the ice rink days.

Tenants have until 7/15/2020 to get their stuff out of their shops, and then the mall is locked down for good.
