Drawing Pink Satin Ballet Shoes in Soft Pastel and Pastel Pencils (Still Life Time Lapse)

In this video, I draw a still life in pastels featuring beautiful pink ballet shoes. While painting textures and fabrics can be tricky, satin is a wonderfully easy fabric to paint. Just focus on the lights and darks since satin reflects both. I used a few pinks as well as cream to add a golden tinge that is being reflected. I also used a deep wine red in select shadow areas along with very dark browns. The final highlights were done with very light pinks and white in just a few tiny areas. This was painted on Clairefontaine pastelmat in a piece I cut into an irregular size to accommodate the shoes. I would've loved to upload this one narrated, but I'm busy preparing for a show and don't have the time to record voiceovers as well as doing the required editing. In fact, I think I'd be able to upload more art videos if I don't have to narrate. Hope that's ok with all of you! Thank​ you for your support! xox
