The only reason Earth figured it out was because they reversed engineered Goa'uld technology. Which I think the Goa'uld would have found ironic since they reversed engineered it from Ancients. But unlike the Tau'ri who has the Asgard and Ancient Repositories to help them, the Goa'uld figured it out on their own. A testament to their ingenuity.

They probably knew the potential of Mankind, which is exactly why their treaty with the Asgard stipulated not allowing a human world to advance to a point approaching parity with the Goa'uld. For all their stuffiness and narcissism, they were pragmatic about not allowing their "slaves" to match them. The whole act of pretending to be gods is hard to maintain when there are humans who can confront and fight you off.

The amusing thing is that earlier the entire SGC staff was bewildered when they found out the Asgard Protected planets treaty is just one giant bluff. They were kind of disapointed and pissed, 5 years later they do it themselves. I can just imagine Thor hearing about this and thinking "beeing perceived a galaxy shaping power isn't as easy as it seems, huh. Who would have known?"
The statement that the "Tau'ri already have working hyperdrives" is actually a half truth. Technically yes, but both due to design flaws and the use of Naquadria it is far less than stable. It was flawed enough to strand the Prometheus above another planet with no easy way to return and in this episode it´s still there. Of course we know that the Asgard would eventually help work out the kinks in the Hyperdrive design leading to the BC-304 but at this moment Weir is bluffing just as much as the Asgard were in season 3.

You are mistaking what happened. She is doing intelligence gathering, trying to size up the tau'ri space threat and capabilities. Jackson tactfully shut her down by responding with exactly the same thing, asking the size of her fleets.
The answer 'one ship with another on the way' probably would have terminated the meeting right then and there, and resulted in an immediate planetary assault by these system lords. They are currently and incorrectly granting a way higher threat rating than we actually deserve, and that bluff is keeping us safe.
The obvious message being loud and clear to both parties, grand strategic information is classified for a reason, and we aren't morons. Don't ask about our exact capabilities.

If the series was currently at 2021 let's say continuing right now, the computers would be quantum speed, we copied Ba'al's subspace networking to keep the galaxy connected to each other, there would be a galactic trade federation, bureaucrats and politics unfortunately, The Supergate is still operational so it can used to do trade and updates to and from the Ori Galaxy with Toman as the overseer still I'd guess , the Daedalus fleet I'm sure has grown to at least 50 ships, the Pegasus Asgard have some O'Neill Class Warships to keep the peace between the humans and Wraith, we still dont know much about the Atilla Galaxy and why haven't we been to the Andromeda Galaxy yet? I'm sure the Jaffa and the Tau'ri are sharing overseeing The Milky Way learning from each other and exploring more of the ancient planet destinations. Perhaps a couple Aurora Class ships were found? "the Pegasus Asgard have some O'Neill Class Warships to keep the peace between the humans and Wraith"
Huh?? The Asgard (Vanir) in the Pegasus galaxy are hopelessly behind in technology compared to the milky way Asgard, they were too busy just surviving and trying to fix their cloning issue to advance much in the time they were there. Not to mention getting ass whooped by the wraith, their only remaining ships have weapons and shields similar to the Gould Hatak... but pretty sure they are smaller over all and their shields are clearly not very effective, they got rekt by a traveler ship which is.... extremely unimpressive. The Vanir would be doing amazingly well to simply have the Atlanteans/Taur'i/Earth Humans load their Daedalus class ships up with as many as they can take and keep making runs back and forth between the two galaxies until they have all been brought back to the Milky Way where we find a safe, pleasant planet for them to rebuild their civilization on with Earth's help of course in terms of man power and materials/resources and military protection in the form of a semi-permanent Daedalus class cruiser in orbit. In time they could become a valuable ally. We could even retrofit their current ships with intergalactic hyperdrives and eventually bring their ships too them so they have something to trade with, protect themselves with etc around their new home.
