    Great review as always! But something I generally miss when seeing these reviews:
    I've owned three true wireless models by RHA and Jabra, and they've all been extremely buggy. However I don't see any reviewers approach this topic. For me it's the number one criteria that they work all the time, and it seems true wireless headphones are not yet all that stable

      Personal experience : I just returned Sony WF-1000XM4 for this exact reason. I wanted to upgrade to a premium ANC TWS. So, I tried the Sony, thought they were the best sounding earphones that I have ever used, had a very good ANC. I really wanted to keep those but even after 7 days of using them, trying out different eartips, I had to return them as they were uncomfortable just after an hour of use.
      I will be trying the Sennheiser MTW3 soon, really hoping they are comfortable.

    • @Obnoxymoron
      @Obnoxymoron 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@abhinavsaprey4291 MTW3 ANC for me seems to amplify some already loud sounds (compressed air, power tools, fireworks/gunshots, hammer on metal) but they cut down on engine sounds while driving a car and other basic ambient sounds. Wind noise is a bit reduced from the TW2 but still not great..
      While working I tend to not use the ANC at all because the sometimes amplified noise can get actually painful but the great fit means they are decent enough to passively isolate sound although it's not recommended to use for that purpose. While driving or using public transportation I always have ANC on.

    I feel like Galaxy buds are the most underrated earbuds in terms of audio quality, It´s very well balanced and the range is pretty good too for earbuds. For me, they are definitely n.1 out of those, but then again I am not a big fan of boosted bass and treble.

  • @wildchilde69
    @wildchilde69 2 ปีที่แล้ว +31

    Awesome comparison. Not sure if this would have bumped the Sennheiser's up to #1, but they are apparently offering true multi-point connectivity in an update later on. I think if you consider price/value, relative to the B&O Ex (which I'm sure are amazing) the TW3 are probably the way to go. I'm also surprised at how much better Sony's microphone's are now, as in their XM2 and XM3's they were pretty much rubbish outside of a quiet room.

    I love you! Thanks to you I have the headphones of my dreams. On your recommendation I bought BEOPLAY EX and I am delighted. I've never had such comfortable headphones, and I have small ears and everything always hurts. The sound is clear and saturated. My wallet is crying :D, but it's worth it. I bought the Liberty 3 Pro in January, but all the time the right or left earpiece didn't work. After 5 months the right earpiece stopped working altogether. I returned it to the service and they returned the money because it couldn't be repaired. I don't recommend it, I just got tired of dealing with them.

    I wanted to thank you for your awesome reviews. I also take the chance to highlight a small correction. The Sony XM4 have up to 8 hours of battery in the buds with ANC, without ANC they can last up to 12 hours (depends on volume). With ANC off, you can get up to 36 hours with the case (3x12) which is quite a bit more than the Sennheiser M3s. As a recommendation, it could be interesting to list battery life with and without ANC. Cheers!

I am a big fan of Sennheiser and would pick these as my number one choice in this review. Suttle design, great app, convenient touch controls, and GREAT SOUND at a better price than previous momentum 2. I had the momentum 2's and didn't care for the look and also noise canceling not as good as others on the market. I think they were too expensive ($300) for what you got! 1st & second place are right, I own several B&O products and are amazing, but yes are expensive, MTW3 is another story, less expensive and an important fact is neodymium made for the speaker, such a thing, nothing out there can reach that feeling (5Hz bass is in non audible range) amazing, isn’t the best in some features, but after sound experience, all those became in a far second story, great product.

    Whats really weird is that you can find the Galaxy Buds Pro for about 100-110€ here in Germany while most of the others have a similar price to the ones mentioned here. Even though I value sound more than anything else exept fit&comfort that makes them almost a no brainer.

    • @abhitejvelore
      @abhitejvelore 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm a little confused with the review because the buds Pro actually were the best only in the sound category. Infact. I went ahead and bought them just to try them out and they have really nailed down the sound quality to a T.
      This reflects the opinion of crinacle as well. The problem with the others are that they are usually emphasised v shape sound. If that's something your looking for it makes sense. But if you are looking for something a lot more neutral then it's the buds Pro.
      What further confuses me is that the Samsung buds also suck at the fit. Or at the very least it's polarising. Which automatically shouldn't give it a win in the fit category.
      And finally Samsung codec are a mess if you're on android but not on Samsung. They're fine with apple (aac) and fine with Samsung (scalable codec) but with the rest it's either sbc or aac. And aac implementation is a mixed bag on android.

    Mike, I enjoy your outstanding videos on how you breakdown the various earbuds by category. I am just putting this out there. I am 67 so it is possible that my answers won’t be in alignment with most of your viewers. That’s ok. With me I am about the sound quality and just about everything else, is just bells and whistles. I am currently using the Bowers and Wilkins PI7’s and I am elated about them. The sound quality is exceptional. No bells and whistles. The app has no EQ which used to annoy me but I use the Sound ID app which helps a little. I have the Sony xm 4’s which are excellent, the Senny’s mtw 2’s and a first generation B & O’s true wireless. My next purchase will be the Senny momentum true wireless 3’s. Listening to music or a lot of other things in life are subjective. Continue to bless us with your skill set. God bless

You should do a comparison video to ambient sound and transparency mode whether they can be controlled by volume up or down or just one setting. Because I am blind I’m always interested in these noise cancellation headphones but not sure which one to buy because of transparency mode it’s important for me to be able to hear my environment. My second suggestion would be to do a comparison video to air buds that do not have noise cancellation! Because I am blind, I really like my AirPod third generation! Just got the MTW3 and the fit is just horrible. The angle between the inner and outer part is wrong (compare with the Sonys for example}, so the buds are just sticking out, hanging in the air. The fins don't do anything (since they don't touch the ear).

    I will be picking one up and i am living in Turkey. We don't have the B&O here. The mtw3s are new so they are sold for like 5000 Turkish Liras(310 Dollars). I have the money for Airpod pros and XM4s but rumors say that Airpod Pro 2s will be coming on september for the same price and i am using iphone 13 so what do you think? Should i wait (i think yes) ?

      Depends on the price point you're aiming at, the B&Os top premium price (but have multipoint connection like airpods), mtw3 you can find them on amazon or other websites. I think you should wait for the new Airpods. Also, I believe they'll be the same price as the current Airpods Pro.

    I’m very surprised that the Bose quiet comfort earbuds didn’t make it on to this comparison as I would rate them higher than a few on here. That said, I’ve had to return mine 2 times already since the left earbud suddenly just dies after a few weeks of use. Hence why I am here. I had the Sennheiser MTW3, Beoplay EX and Beoplay EQ to play around with.
    For me, the Sennheiser MTW3 > Beoplay (EX|EQ). Beoplay became more like Apple paying an overpriced premium for the brand.
    About the review. You SHOULD mention that noise cancellation (as well the sound quality) pretty much depends on how good the seal is!
    I had some garbage in ears with had a better noise cancellation due to a better sealing.
    I recommend anyone to focus on the build quality, drivers, software and ofc how good they seal!

    • @noe-tobin
      @noe-tobin 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, apple is overpriced because the extra cost only comes from brand name clout. B&O actually delivers extra in no other category that the others do which is true craftsmanship and quality, and also beautiful design. They pay just as much attention to that as they do sound, which still happens to be the best in the group. They should be more expensive considering how much more they offer

    In terms of features, one, I really hope someone employs one day is the ability to have separate control profiles depending on whether or not you are using a single or both earbuds. For example, I often use only one bud, when listening to a podcast so having volume control split across both of them isn't a good solution. Often I find myself having the exact same controls set up on both earbuds which is a bit of a waste IMO.

    Owning or having owned all on you list except the Master and Dynamic I must agree, when it comes to sound quality I don't believe anything is close to the B&O EX. You simply get the best detail in the sound, in the highs and lows you don't get from the others. I tend to use the Comply ear tips that come with this for best fit and sound. I also agree the Momentum TW3 are my second favorite, that sound quality is slightly below the EX, but they tend to be more versatilein use and have better noisecanceling. I tend to go back and forth using these two depending the circumstance, the TW3 do fit better for me, so tend to use them more when active.
