Rare Form Rock band doing a song we wrote called "Top Of The World"
Music video from a gig we did in PA in the 90s.
When I was a kid there was a song my father sang in one of his bands, and I really liked the lyrics to it. The song was different than most of my father's songs because it had a psychedelic meaning to it, and I always tried to understand the meaning of the words when I was a kid. Jimmy Oliver was the drummer in my Dad's band back then. Decades later I still never got the lyrics out of my head and they seemed to fit naturally in the first verse of “Top Of The World”. I spoke to my Dad about using the lyrics to that cool song of his from long ago & the funny thing was, I had no idea my Dad's drummer Jimmy Oliver wrote the lyrics to that one.
Special thanks to the best dancer I've ever had at a show, and of course Jimmy Oliver who wrote the lyrics to the first verse of this song. That was a great night with a great crowd, and a great group of guys, plus, it was an ALL original set!
The Rare Form band was rare indeed, shortly after this gig our drummer moved on to focus on his career in the medical field. During the transition of looking for a new drummer, the guitarist & I were going in different musical directions, I liked the set and musical style, however he wanted to go in a musical direction similar to the band Stained, so we went on our separate paths.
