    I really really need to thank you sooo much for this. I have my second year TCM final exam on Jan 19th and I was struggling to grasp these concepts. I am from Italy and lucky enough to be billingual so I can use your super helpful resources to prepare for my tests. Thank you so much for saving me once again. Will be donating to your website because your work is really precious to all of us!

    The 8 principles are 4 pairs of two. Each pair together is a whole. These are holistic diagnoses. The easiest way to think of it is with clock opposites being excess and deficient. Disperse one like ub and tonify another lu. Combining holistic diagnoses with specific ones is where it’s at.

      @@tcmstudy what's mean by empty heat

    • @tcmstudy
      @tcmstudy  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@bagiyalakshmivijayan3288 It's kind of just like the video says around 6:10. Empty heat, vacuity heat, and deficiency heat all mean the same thing. They're different translations of "xu re". With excess heat, there too much Yang in the body, and that is heating us up. With empty heat, there's not enough Yin cooling us down, so we feel hot. So excess Yang would be like you have a fire in the house heating you up; deficient Yin would be like your air conditioner and fans are broken, so there's not enough there to cool you down.
      There are specific signs and symptoms associated with empty heat, and you can see those in the slides that can be downloaded.
