Hey man I like your videos , you explain things well and you actually do all your stunts/testing /repairing wheelchairs. I have some questions about battery restoring and charging.
Hello I love your channel or videos. I am trying to bring the arm rest in more bc their scrapping the doors and land lord is upset.. I'm not sure if it's can be adjusted but ty..
Thanks for bolstering my confidence in opening up my M3 controller to swap out a bad charging port. Can you offer any suggestions for getting Permobil parts?? I appreciate that you share your knowledge of tinkering with these amazing devices.
the best place ive found so far is buildmywheelchair.com/ they can order any parts that are available from permobil, even if those parts arent listed on their website. use the chat function, or send them an email, and they will help ya find the parts, and give ya a price! individual internal joystick parts arent usually for sale separately from most manufacturers though :^/ however, if your charging port MELTED - permobil sometimes covers that repair! (they had an issue with this for a short while) fill out this form - - hub.permobil.com/support and one of their reps will contact you :^)
What do you think the lowest ballpark height could be adjusted-floor to the top of joystick with the seat lowered? I’m investigating how an F3 will fit in my van and am comparing some measurements. Really love the content here- very thorough and informative vids!!
the arm rests can go way lower than you'd ever want them! - lol and hence the joystick as well.. the question is how low can it be, and still be usable for ya? its not something you'd want to constantly adjust.. there's joystick swing-aways etc to help with negotiating the space inside a vehicle and such..
kinda! in this video i make some adjustments to an M3 - the process is roughly the same :^) th-cam.com/video/xScAJgEOYwM/w-d-xo.html skip to 3:35 in video
If I In counter Something Like That I Put A Little Lukas Grease On The Headrest Fittings. Then The Next Time You Go To Tighten Or Loosen The Fittings They'll Be A Little More Easter To Adjust
Thanks! It was full of practical insights. I am C4-5 from India. I'm using Permobil F5vS. Not getting much support from Permobil franchisee here. I wonder if I can adjust my armrest in a way that one is two-centimetre lower (vertically) than another. Is it possible? Thanks and regards
yes! theres a workaround for that... on the sides of the arm rests, back close to where the pivot is, youll see 2 allen cap bolts... what ya wanna do it take those out, and adjust the arm rest so its pointing angled up at like a 45 degree angle (or so), put the bolts back in, and then use the turnbuckle on the back for that side, to lower the angle back down, and itll be lower than the other armrest! it takes some playing around.. but its very doable! send me a DM on twitter and i can send ya some pics
so those horizontal silver bars tend to get stuck in there a lot.. the little set screws on the back have a sharp point to them and they kinda mar up the metal bar.. make sure those little silver screws are all the way out, and sometimes ya can attach a slide hammer and remove the bars that way. it'll take some grinding to get them repaired, but honestly replacements are the best things to stick back in there. they are 'adjustable' when the chairs are new.. but after very long things wont slide in and out very easily at all..
Can you give me your opinion of why power wheel chairs, like my f3 come with solid versus pneumatic tires. Seems to me the ride and traction could be greatly improved
Hey sir good mornig, can i ask a question about my permobil f3 is always turtle mode 2months from now my permobil is not running can you help me how back to condition sir.i I'm PWD person I live in Davao city I have no idea how to repair sir.
I was wondering if you knew how to adjust the angle of the joystick I have a new Permobil F3 and it has a rectangular mount instead of a tubular mount do you have any idea how I could change the angle slightly so the joystick tilts in so it fits my head better when I sit there it feels like it tilting away from the wheelchair I wanted to tilt in towards the wheelchair but it’s a square mount it’s a brandNew Permobil at three which I got about a month ago it’s April 13 right now thanks for your help I really enjoy your videos I don’t know how you do it I’m exhausted just watching you I have a primary progressive MS so I can’t move too well thanks for your help and thanks for making videos
there's a bunch of different joystick mounts used now, hard to tell which specific one they might have used - but if ya flip up the armrest and have a look around there may be some slots, or adjustment bolts to adjust
@@TotallyNormal- Thanks for your help I lifted up the armrest and there were two 4mm Allen bolts on an L bracket when I loosen them they were able to swivel in and out so I tilted it slightly into me and tighten the two 4 mm Allen bolts. Thanks for all your help it’s very much appreciated the mount it was on didn’t look like it would swivel but it does very easily I loosen them very slightly tilted it in and tighten them back up like I said before thanks again I appreciate your help
**chairs built after 2019 use a different setup - please watch the updated video **

Excellent! Extremely well done, both explanation and camera angles! It is so helpful to be able to make simple adjustments at home! Thank you!

Code pm 3100 on permobil f5. What is it?
Any ideas what to do if the four screws are stuck?
Thanks! It was full of practical insights.
