Katie Matter Well let's not get it twisted folks, there are some anime that are for kids, for example Digimon, Pokemon, Captain Tsubasa, etc etc... But of course there are also Animes that are for teens and adults, like Attack On Titan, Tokyo Ghoul, Death Parade, Parasyte, Charlotte, My Hero Academia, etc etc... We can't say anime is specifically focused towards children, nor completely focused towards teens and adults, that's why we have genres okay? Each genre has a specific audience, so yeah, some Anime are for kids, and some are not, it's called "entertainment" in a whole. If you're really interested, the genres are Kodomo (children) Shonen (Teens; Male) Shoujo (Teens; Female) Seinen (Older Teens & Adults; Male) Josei (Older Teens & Adults; Female) and then of course we have Hentai (Anime specifically towards adults, both male and female) PS: Along the Genres we have the several and the many sub genres, like action, comedy, drama, fantasy, Ecchi, etc etc...
