Butlins 84 - March and Welcome

Continuing the exploration of the 'Holiday Plus Fellowship Week' 1984 here is the flag-breaking ceremony and welcome march followed by excerpts from the 'welcome meeting'. I keep seeing faces I remember (my dad would probably have been able to put names to most of them!)
If you spot yourself or a family member please contact me and let me know - especially if they are now 'long gone' from this world...nothing thrills me like spotting a glimpse of my grandad who died only 6 months or so after this holiday...I hope many others get similar sentimental thrills too!

Marc did not attend Butlins when I was in Army as I thought it was just for old folk , but I get great enjoyment from watching the film's

This video has brought back oh so many fond memories of the holiday plus fellowship weeks i had at bognor regis, i used to play in the band and loved it . the gaiety theatre , princess ball lounge and blinking owl sadly all gone now. lovely carefree holidays. thankyou for posting. helen

Oh my goodness I married the young man on euph 5 years after that butlins!!! Happy times
