Love that editing section Jeven, my trouble is I use clips that are too long and therefor most likely boring for others to watch, you're a master at editing and make it look easy and I suppose that comes from repetition, I use Filmora X editing software so I don't think it has all the functionality of what you're using but it works for me, I also use Epidemic Sound's and I also need to start cutting to the beat, I think I'll get a lot of value from your editing course on Skillshare, thanks for this and have a happy holidays.
Hi Jeven, do you have a suggestion to charge a Mavic battery that does not have any led lights when I press the power button? Is it dead or just in hibernation mode?
Just bought the Mavic 3 and the RC Pro controller. I have no experience with drones but this video taught me more than DJI's own tutorials. Great job, this video undoubtedly saved me hours of time getting familiar with the Mavic 3.
This is the best Mavic 3 video I have ever seen on TH-cam. Thanks so much for creating this tutorial. You are a very good educator. DJI should pay you for making this video! 👏🏻👏🏻
Honestly, one of the most effective tutorials I’ve seen. You’ve a great sense of pedagogy and DJI should consider you an essential staff member! Many thanks 🙏
Even though I am an experienced droner, I always try to find tutorials about my new equipment, just in case there is something I have missed. I have to say that this is one of the best tutorials I have ever watched. Very very explanatory. An amazing work!
Really? I swear: this is one of the best "tutorials" on TH-cam. Really great and straight, clean and professional and without overdrive. Wow! Thumb up and abo done ;-)
If your addictive. Your gifted. It's one thing to know it all and another to be able to teach it without coming across as a know it all. I'm learning a ton and enjoying it all.
I wish I could be one of those who can say they got a Mavic 3 for a first/starter drone but no, I was the newbie on a Mini! 😆 Anyway, wishing you new pilots the best of drone experiences! Have a great flight!
I started on a mini 2 se. I love that drone death. Learned everything with that drone. I did some wild stuff.. that drone was never meant to do. Waypoints, to name one.. and it doesn’t have obstacle avoidance anything. I can’t believe it actually pulled it off .. with out running into any trees.. thanks to litch app.
Outstanding. Informative and very professionally done! I just purchased a Mavic 3 and this is my first drone. This tutorial will help me get started and then some. Thank you!!
man never felt like just subscribing wasn't enough before on my whole life watching TH-cam , defiantly I'll be watching more since I just purchased one and I'm trying to do my license and do some commercial work . Thanks for the video!
I always love how you explain active track its perfect for beginners. Ive been using dji drones and never used this feature I feel more confident now I seen you do it.
Terrific video Even. Over the past 6 years and several DJIs, this is one of the best, well thought out instructional videos. It's time to buy a 3. Thanks
Jeven you are brilliant!! Excellent tutorial! I will keep this video handy great for beginner Drone hobbyists and clutch for us moderate to highly experienced Drone hobbyists! Thanks for taking your time and breaking everything down !
37:05 do you not need to calibrate the drone for its X/Y/Z axis before your first flight? as part of my flight tutorial for tertiary qualification, this was a must-do on the Phantom 4 that I used. by calibrate, I mean turn it (manually walk it around on the spot) 360° while flat, and then again on its side.
Your videos are always very informative and inspiring. Your travel videos back in the day inspired me to move to Thailand. Thanks for an informative vid in a pretty place.
Hey Jeven, great video. I am still watching but just finished the "Fly App" section. I have 2 questions concerning the 3 Cine and Pro Remote: 1. Can I set up to save photos to SD card and ProRez video to internal HD? 2. I would like to customize many of the buttons and dials on the remove, but only find a few options in the FLY App. Can I customize all or most of the physical buttons/dials on the Pro Remote? Thanks, Ron
Very helpful video and thanks for taking the time making it! Recently got a Mavic 3, after crashing and loosing my Mavic 2 pro so this video helps me getting started!
Hi Jeven, what an excellent video! I especially appreciated that you have used Macintosh computer, iPhone and Final Cut Pro for your Drone adventures and editing. This makes it so much more relevant to me. I now got a deeper understanding for both Droning and color grading. 🙏🏻 thanks!
Jevon Merry Christmas. I’m an experienced drone pilot and I enjoyed your Beginner guide on flying your DJI Mavic 3. I always enjoy your videos. Well done my friend.
One of the best comprehensive videos about the Mavic 3.. Thank you.. Enjoyed this very much. Also, I’m sure you know this, but when you are in explorer mode, you can depress the Fn button and the jog wheel then controls zoom.. :)
Hi Jeven! This is by far the best tutorial video about any drone. Thanks! 🙌 In spring -21 I bought my first drone. The mini 2. Now I know that I want to fly more and be good at it. I want to learn everything as fast as I can. And I going too see all of your videos. I’m planing to buy Mavic 3 in January. I have not decided if I will go for the Magic 3 Cine or not. Br. Ted, from Sweden! 🇸🇪
Thank you for the Great tutorial video and advice. I just order my first drone and is Mavic 3 Cin. I can’t wait to play with it. You just gained a subscriber.
Great tutorial Jeven. I don't have a Mavic 3 but I picked up some very good points about creating video, adding music, and color grading. Thanks very much.
Excellent video!!! Great work here JD! Like others have commented, the best Mavic 3 video out there. The video helped me tremendously. Keep up the great work!
Thanks for the great video. I bought a mavic air 2 earlier this year and just started using it and it was so much more fun I just caved and bought the mavic 3. The fly more combo is $2250 right now on Amazon!
Thanks for this, I have the original Mavic air and remember back in 2018 looking at your guide. I am in the market for a new drone after 4 years and I think I am going to get this
Great video and very helpful, thank you. One point of clarification, remember you CAN fly over 400 feet if you need to go over an object, like a building or structure, then it is 400 feet above that obstacle.
Thank you so much for taking the time to create such an incredible tutorial and reference video, Your channel is beyond helpful!!! Sending all that kindness right back to you, tenfold
Great video! It's very informative, interesting. I'll be watching this video often to learn to use my new Mavic 3 Classic and how to edit my videos, I'll also be using the editing tools you've presented on this video. Thank you.
Just note that if you have your object avoidance in "bypass" mode the drone itself can fly like a cat at a firework display. Turning this to "brake" resolves the issues. Great video and the default that I will give to new Mavic 3 owners that I know.
I use this drone for responses to hazardous material releases. Your video is a great tutorial. Now I can even liven up sit rep meetings by adding music to my video! LOL
Extraordinary work , the very objective guide to use correctly a drone like the Mavec 3. Simple, ( KISS ), Congratulations, the best Christmas gift !!. Thanks.
I'm going to watch this again, I've seen several and all were helpful in their own way but yours is tops. My M3 arrives in several days so I'm hell bent on having as much info in my head as possible to make the first flight unhindered and enjoyable. Thanks...subbd.
Hi Jeven. This is my first time viewing one of your videos. WOW!! I have subscribed and will be looking forward to watching more. I have been flying drones for several years and before buying the Mavic 3 recently I also had the Inspire 1 Pro and still have my Mavic 2 Pro. I watched thinking I might pick up some useful information on the Fly app, which I did, but learned so much more. I am primarily a stills photographer, but have started to shoot some video with the drone and that what it seems to be made for. Looking forward to viewing more.
I’m on a crusade so you may see this post elsewhere as well. 😊 I think it would be a great feature for the RC Pro and other “Smart” remotes to have a low power “Data” mode that would allow the user to save more battery life to perform tasks such as editing images or checking social networks, tasks that don’t need the high powered antennas and other battery draining parts of the device typically needed during flight. At the same time a similar low power “Data” mode for drones could be very useful. If the antennas, flight lights, GPS and other parts used only for flight could be turned of while transferring video and photos, updating firmware or doing other things while not in flight this would save battery and give the pilot more time to get things done. Who else thinks that a new low power “Data” mode would be useful? 🤷♂️
Jeven, Your videos are great! Everything you convey to your audience is organized and detailed which is why I subscribed. Now that "buttered" you up😁, can you do a future video regarding SD cards, explanation of them and recommendations if you haven't already done one? I searched on your list but didn't find one unless I missed it.
You have some great points, thank you for putting this together. I'm coming from a Mavic Pro, so this'll be a nice change of pace. I'm into photography, and my preference is to only do my drone photography on blue sky, sunny days. The gray, cloudy days don't really bring out the natural beauty of what I like to put forward. Thanks so much!!
Jeven Dovey, at around 13:54 ish you finish up saying the drone will go straight up, fly straight back, and fly straight down on Return to Home. Doesn't the Mavic 3 have the smart RTH where on the way back it comes in at an angle? Rather than straight down? or did they change that? I have a mavic 3 myself, and i haven't done my first flight yet. Been busy getting it all registered and getting the required aircraft numbers on it up here in Canada. haha.
Excellent video tutorials. Thanks for all your efforts and time put this together it really help some folks in DJI Drone. 👍👍 As you said you had to play around few settings to learn different things and also Practice make perfect!
Like the others, I watch all the way , lots of things to learn here ! say at 1:03:54 you saying : " to test out the Mavic 3 Pro " ?? When was that shot ??
Happy Hoildays!! Thank you so much for this video!! Was trying to decide what would be the best drone to buy for my children and I for traveling and our YT channel!!! Do you think this is the best one to start with?
Depends on the features you need. The Mini 2 is the perfect starter drone but it doesn't have active track. If you need tracking then the Air2 or Air2S are perfect. The only downside is those drones dont have vision sensors on the side so you could run into something when tracking. I have videos on all these drones so make sure you check them out :). If you need full omnidirectional obstacle avoidance then the Mavic 3 is the one to go for.
I wouldn’t suggest getting this for your children. This is the pro version, so many of its features are only needed for advanced users and filmmakers. And it’s also expensive so if crashed it’s a hefty price to pay. I would personally go with the air2 or air2s. They are more affordable, still have a lot of sensors and the resolution and features are more then enough!
Next check out my 2 hour editing course! geni.us/dkNlQnp
