What is the benefit or difference in this compost method over others?

Thank you for your question! This method allows a quick turn around of composted material and is easy for beginners, in my opinion. There is no need to worry about your mix of greens (nitrogen) and browns (carbon). No need to check temperatures to see if the pile is heating up.
It is also beneficial if you only have a small space, since it can be done in the same container again and again or put directly in your raised beds. I choose containers instead of putting it directly in my raised beds to avoid any rodent problems. If I had a metal rodent barrier in my beds, I may be willing to try it, but do not want to risk it personally.
For those of us who may have physical limitations, it is also easier on the back! No heaps of compost to fork and turn. If you have ever turned a compost pile in the heat of summer, you know how back breaking that gets, haha!

@Collidescope Gardens thank you for your reply. I'll research this further as I'm at a rental house and this method would actually help get me started for potted gardening until I can get my own land for actual no-dig beds. I liked and subbed to do my small part in helping a new youtuber and I'm sure you have more great information for noobs like me, haha.

Thank you! I am so excited for your journey. I started gardening in containers and pots as well, bokashi composting has been such a great and affordable way to revitalize my potting soil. I still grow in containers and last year grew the largest zucchini plant ever in one of my bokashi containers! I hope when you are ready to try it, you have great success 💜
