    WOW, love that gaming table with the bookshelves on the back. That is perfect! The loaf bread pan, genius!

      I thought that bread pan was super cute too. The different 'slices' would help to sort out numbered and lettered pins for marking blocks and rows for large quilts. Really cute.

    Thanks, I really enjoyed seeing the different ways friends store their fabrics. I'm using old bookshelves--1 for charm packs and jelly rolls, 1 for layer cakes, and 1 for fat quarters and fat eighths. I try to buy accompanying fabric for border and binding, and I keep that with the precut so I can find it. I store my solids and my widebacks in an old tall pantry on wire shelves inside, and I have smaller miscellaneous fabrics on comic boards on a shelf. I need more sewing time as you often say, Pat.
    My 9-1/2 year old granddaughter was visiting last week. I showed her a picture where you had all the critters up on the wall. She loved it! I might need to do some critter pattern shopping. 😅 Your critter quilt is coming together so darling indeed!

    The pictures of everyones storage area is so neat. i never thought of the CD holders, that is a great Idea.
    .
    The rolling carts are very handy. I saw these at Aldi's the other day for $14.99 and also I have waited until Michaels has a 40 or 50 % coupon, coupon and Ithat is how I purchased my rolling carts, you just need to check the restrictions on the coupons.
    Thanks again Pat for all the work that you and your ambassadors do.
    Have a Great Weekend everyone!

    After much trial I have settled on Fautless PREMIUM Luxe Finish with the Gold cap Spray Starch. It gives a soft feel without flaking, staining, or a cardboard feel. Really enjoyed seeing how others store their fabric stash addiction. Great Ideas!

  • @KTCanSew2

    I have used both sprays of starch before. When you use the heavy finish, it is almost like working with paper when you sew. I think it is helpful for small piecing.

    • @juliemiller9258
      @juliemiller9258 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I live with an open-air house where bugs are always a concern. I also stopped experimenting with starch because I heard someone say that starch can attract bugs. Have you experience this?

    • @KTCanSew2
      @KTCanSew2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@juliemiller9258 Someone once told me that the starch was potatoes. (It is not though.). I suppose you could make starch to spray using potato starch. We live on a farm with a lot of bugs that like grain. They don't come in and eat my quilts, but I also like to wash them so they get a little crinkly. They do get more crinkly if you do not use the starch though.

    • @juliemiller9258
      @juliemiller9258 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@KTCanSew2 Yeah. All my spices and tea, coffee, coco powder all have to be in the fridge or freezer. Took me over a year to figure out the tiny bugs in my dry tea was making me sick. I washed the quilt I was trying the starch on as soon as it was quilted. Scared me. We grow most of our own food and raise ducks mostly for the eggs but also for the pest control and as a bonus they fertilize for us. 🧵🌴🦆🪡

    I use a similar bookshelf set up for my ironing station. I bought two of the 9 cube storage shelf’s. My large ironing surface sits on top of them. I use the fabric bins for my scrap user system. The shelf’s could easily be used for precut storage as well.

    I liked seeing everyone's storage ideas. The other day I saw a storage unit that had tall shelving with casters on each shelf stack to allow one to pull the shelf unit out. Thank you for the precut storage tips. Really like the jelly roll tower. Too cute. As far as your starch question- personally I don’t care for the heavy starch because it leaves a filmy residue that clouds the fabric and leaves flakes. I notice it mostly when I have to press for longer times. Would like to know your experience with it.
