I usually make cards for our Chinese auctions at church. I generally cover my paper pumpkin boxes for the cards and envelopes. Everyone one is excited to win my cards. Now I have another option Thank you.
A friend was just asking me to show her how to make boxes. I've sent her your link and I'll be working with her on Thursday to make some of them. Thank you so much for all you do to help us become better crafters.
Connie- This is an extremely useful video. I think it will be the most useful video for gift giving of all times. You are right with this information we can make a very useful box for our handmade cards for any occasion by picking the card stock colors & the card topper to decorate the top. That shim will be the best box lid making tool of all times. You are so creative. Thank you for sharing this video , especially for the new card makers out there. You are certainly helping many people create & share the lovely Stampin Up cards with others. 🥰👏👏👏💕
I totally get it now, Connie...I was a little slow the last time you shared this formula for the perfect box building, but I got it now and will use it for ANY box in the future. Off to make my BOX LID SHIM now. In my eyes, you earned the award for 'The Best Craft Teacher of All Time!, Connie. Thank you so much for sharing and for your contribution to this wonderful therapeutic papercraft community.
I've made the shim from your past video and it works great for me. TY for sharing the 2 styles of the lid for the box and the detailed explanation. It helps me a great deal, as I too am a visual person. Be well & TYFS.
Thank you so much this is absolutely amazing I have been fighting to make boxes for my cards for over a year and I kept getting the wobbly lid this is perfect thank you so much for sharing have a great day and God bless you
Thank you so much for this video. I just made 12 cards for 12 people. They each will get 12 cards and I was wondering how I would package them. Thanks to you, I know just what to do. Your videos are great and I love them all. You are a great teacher and have a great personality. Thanks again.
Thank you for the directions on the shim. I did create it as stated, but I have a different scoring board and the first one I made was way too big. I have now taken measurements of my board and created one to fit it and it works beautifully. I have a storage location on my scoring board and will store the shim there so it is always at the ready. Thank you for all your wonderful videos and tips.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!! I have always wanted to know how to make a gift box. The bonus of learning how to alter it for different amounts of cards AND to make the perfect lid. You made is so easy to understand. Best tutorial ever!!!
I frequently adapt measurements due to the We R Memories all in one (trimmer, score, e.t.c) ruler being right to left numbering to focus on the cutting edge. I thought I didn't have an edge to place this brilliant shim. Then remembered there's a blue guard piece under the blade flap I'm supposed to flip over when scoring 🤣 which I rarely do. The shim can sit on the trimmer! I am a happy girl!
Hi Connie, Thank you for the excellent explanation on how to create your beautiful boxes and the very useful box maker shim. Don't forget at the 3:30 mark to put in the text for skipping to the box. You have ### in the text. We all appreciate your videos and inspiration and always make it look so easy. Thank you again.
