    Brilliant Jenny, most enjoyable video, you are the best of the model reviewers, I love the pre-war and pre-grouping models and their liveries best of all, Pete, 85 years old in September, spent my life working on design and enjoyment of internal combustion engined vehicles, from mk3 Ford Consuls and Zephyrs to Warrior fighting vehicles, best wishes, Iove them all, Pete

    I have 5 A4s" Silver Link (Silver Jubilee Collection), Mallard in Garter Blue, Dominion of Canada in Preserved condition (Sadly missing her Bell), Dwight D Eisenhower, and Bittern (Hornby 1:1 collection w/ second tender). Bittern is my favorite as a model, though I have an attachment to Eisenhower due to having theen that one in person.
    Also love the C1 Atlantic, the new Hornby A1 with the firebox glow, and the Hush Hush. Aside from my 5 A4s, my LNER fleet isn't that extensive.

    I approve of the LNER. Good choice on the A4 - my father still remembers garter blue A4s passing Nortallerton when he was a lad in the 1940s.

    I've three A4s, in each of the LNER 1930s liveries. I do love them. My personal number one however would have been the J36

      I’m not a fan of the LNER liveries on A4s, but do have Kingfisher in Garter blue. I think I am addicted to getting A4s though as I now have 11 and am already eyeing up two more.

      @@JenniferEKirk I bought Kingfisher in LNER green and couldn't not have a silver or garter blue one to keep it company, would be rude. My favourite livery on the A4s is British Railways green, just need to get one for the collection

      @@mckinneyc1000 10 of my 11 are in BR livery. All green except one which is in experimental purple.

    All good choices ! My personal favourite would be the current Bachman V2 with the Sentinel Railcar being the one I'd most like to see produced.

    My all time favourite locos are A4, at the moment have 18 . I have soft spot for Mallard because of its fame, so that would probably be my all time favourite.

    I have 3 out of your top 10 and I would love to collect the other 7 imparticular the J36 Maud, but it would have to be in DC form. Does any manufacturer make a J50 in LNER Green? Martin. (Thailand)

    • @JenniferEKirk
      @JenniferEKirk  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hornby has not issued the J50 in LNER green. Lina did, but be warned that their model was not a good model.

    I cannot argue with your #1. It had to be an A4. Truly a beautiful locomotive

      They are lovely, and I’ve become addicted to buying all 34 that reached BR days.

    Lots of great picks on this list! I think the only one that's on my top ten but didn't get a shout-out here was the Bachmann A2, which is understandable since it is very similar in shape, size, and quality to their A1 (which might be my number 1 tbh). I fall in and out of love with the LNER, but they certainly had some striking locomotives one way or the other.

      I have to admit that I'm not too huge on the A4. They're fine, and my model (Walter K. Wigham in the experimental purple) is a fine runner and certainly in my top 10, but I feel like that's probably all I need. Maybe I'll pick up specific examples, like a Railroad Mallard or maybe one of the preserved ones that found their way to North America, but I wouldn't say I need to have more A4s per se. Idk, they just don't speak to me as much.

      I filtered as much of it off the audio as I could but it’s still there if you’re using headphones.
