Great movie, I knew you'd like it !!👍 Lizabeth Scott, I'm sure you've seen her...she is in many other good movies you'd like, like Dead Reckoning(1947) with Humphrey Bogart, Pitfall(1948), Too Late For Tears(1949), The Racket(1951), Two Of A Kind(1951), Bad For Each Other(1953).
Barbara Stanwyck was truly among those greats of classic Hollywood like Bette Davis, Joan Crawford, Katharine Hepburn, and Ingrid Bergman. This was her second movie where she played the role of a villainous, 1940s femme fatale (yes, she's a witch-with-a-capital-B); in different circles, she would be known as "the queen of film noir." Glad you enjoyed this movie, with its various plot twists. There were many great actors in this movie I enjoyed: Judith Anderson as the battleaxe aunt, Kirk Douglas as scared-rabbit Walter, Lizabeth Scott as the tarnished heroine, and of course, Van Heflin as former friend and love interest of Barbara Stanwyck. By the way, if you'd like to see Van Heflin as an homme fatale, check out "Possessed" (1947), starring him and Joan Crawford. Keep up the great content!

Kirk Douglas was so good in this. I think he brought the heart to the movie even though he was a little weasel. He loved Martha but she detested him.
Looks like Lauren Bacall, sounds like June Allyson. Dead Reckoning is probably my favorite Lizabeth Scott film. Can never go wrong with Bogie!
