    Thanks for watching "Your Offer Was Accepted - Now What?". Did your Realtor provide a timeline checklist for you when you bought your home?

    You have the best advice on what to do after an offer is accepted. All other videos, they spend like 10 mins asking you not to celebrate....LOL

    Helpful explanation of the process Mary. Read through everything and ask questions to be sure you understand before signing - and watch those dates! Don't want to be in the position of having to pay liquidated damages. Interesting how CA does it without a closing meeting.

    • @MaryAnglin
      @MaryAnglin  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, the closing process is very simple. All I have to do is wait for a call from my escrow agent, then I call my client and say, "Congratulations, we've closed!" Thanks for watching John!

      Wire fraud can be heartbreaking! In CA, Realtors are required to present a Wire Fraud Advisory disclosure at the beginning of signing any contract. I always make sure that the client really understands this point.

    My realtor said the sellers realtor accepted the offer but she never received the contract of him signing it can someone else still come buy the house?

    • @MaryAnglin
      @MaryAnglin  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi @theforestisdark. *Your Realtor NEEDS TO CONTACT the owners' Realtor and ask them to send her the fully executed contract ASAP!* Without signatures, nothing is valid. Verbal agreements hold no weight in a real estate transaction. If your Realtor is not being proactive on your behalf you might need to rethink your choice of agent (unless you've signed paperwork with them). Please let me know how things turn out.

    Mary , can an offer be rejected because the buyer is young ? I hope not.( 22)

    • @MaryAnglin
      @MaryAnglin  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      LG 32816, No. That would be illegal according to the fair housing act. However, besides the price offered there are other factors that a seller considers. Talk to your Realtor about the terms and conditions that strengthen an offer.

      @@MaryAnglin thank you For your kind answer Mary ! 💕 after earnest $ is received what happens to the first homeowner buyer ? I’m
      A bit lost with all this . ( Illinois )

    • @MaryAnglin
      @MaryAnglin  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @LG 32816, the fine details depend on the state you’re buying in. But basically, you’ll have an escrow period, during which time the buyer does all their inspections & due diligence. This period is most commonly 30-45 days. During this time, the seller is preparing to move, and performing any repairs that they agreed. After the escrow period, there’s an official close, after which the deed is recorded in the new owners name, and the keys are exchanged. The sellers can stay in the house until escrow closes.
