Looks like a pretty straightforward preventative maintenance upgrade for piece of mind. Will be putting one of these on my 2024 Pro 4X, even though I don't offroad as much, but we do get snow and freezing rain and they salt the roads way too much here. Great video as always, been following your channel since I bought my Frontier and your videos have helped with upgrading mine.👍
Excellent video and absolutely best step by step instructions. Thank You for taking the time to provide details. I have a 2023 PRO-X and I will do this mod soon.
I have the same kit on the way for my 2nd gen. Gorilla off road suggests putting a small amount of rvt sealant on the threads of the barbed fitting in the axle housing.
Thanks for the great video - have the kit on my bench in the garage. Looks easy enough with my limited mechanical skills - expect thee hardest part will be crawling under the truck and reaching things :)
What made you decide to go with the Gorilla brand versus other brands like Z1, etc..? Just personal preference or is one designed better than the other?
I purchased this kit for my 2023 Pro 4X. I assumed I had a breather on my rear axle. Upon inspection, I discovered there is only a plug there. I guess I’m going to leave it alone since that’s the way the factory designed it, not sure what their plan is for overheating in the axle. Any thoughts out there would be appreciated.
If the axle has the plug left in it you or your dealer need to remove it immediately. The tech never installed the breather at the factory. If you leave the axle plugged it WILL build up enough pressure to blow the axle seals out eventually. Basically your rear axle is a pipe bomb if it's plugged with no breather. I highly recommend you inspect the area between the hubb and the axle end for fluid/wetness as well, or fluid on the inside of your tire. If you see any of the 3 your rear axle seal is already leaking. Speaking from experience. I had a Titan before I got my 2023 Pro4X and the rear axle failed for this very reason. If you're still in warranty I would notify your dealership and make them do it.
I have a 22 Pro 4x that I bought 2 weeks ago with only 6,000 miles on it. Checked the breather after watching this and sure enough it was locked closed. I freed it up, but will be putting one of these on now

I installed the same kit on my 2020 frontier with the Dana axle. I went with the gorilla kit as well. Over a year and holding up well.
Just installed the same kit on my 22 Pro4x. Thanks for the walkthrough, was extremely helpful.
Glad it helped

Thanks for the video.
You should really spray the underside with Fluid Film. ✌🏻

Good to know. At least one of us reads instructions haha

Laying on the ground is the hardest part for sure haha
@@CanadianCruisin Indeed. Thank you for the video - made the process super easy.

@@DouglasB65 they're all basically the same. It's easier to get this one up in Canada
Is ZAP STRAP what you call zip ties in Canada?
Yeah haha. We have a brand called zap straps here. Kinda like kleenex
Does this kit void any type of factory warranties by chance to your knowledge?

What does it do. Why.
Do you have to do anything for the front differential?
I havent looked personally but I heard they route the front breather up higher from factory so nothing is needed for the front.
Should I upgrade it if I don't off road?
I would. It will slowly plug up over time even with normal driving.
