This is an impossible equation, because 6+4 is clearly not 4... BUT there are three solutions to this equation by moving just ONE matchstick. Can you find all three solutions? I am curious to see how many people will actually come up with one. Use this video to trick your teacher! :D Have fun!

For version three you could:
1) Move a matchstick from the 6 to make it look like a 5 and move it to the top of the last 4 to make a 9
OR,
2) You could be a smart ass and move the matchstick from 6 to make it look like a 3 and move it to the equal sign on a diagonal slant which turns the equal sign from 'equals' into 'does not equal'.
8-4=4
0+4=4
5+4=9
5+4=/4 (I don't know how to cross the = sign)
5+4=H
When H = 9

First solution- you move the top match of the box of the six and put it in the empty spot which makes 0+4=4.
Second solution- move the left bottom match of the six and move it to the top of the four to the far right which makes 5+4=9.
Third solution- move the vertical match of the plus sign to the empty spot of the six which makes 8-4=4.
Move the vertical stick in the plus sign and place it across the equals sign to make a doesnt equal sign. So 6-4≠4

Third solution:
6 + 4 = 4
to
5 + 4 = 9
Move the vertical match stick from the plus sign to the six, turning the six into an eight. 8-4=4 Move the match stick from the six making it into a five. Use that match stick to change the four into a nine. 5+4=9 Move the vertical match stick from the plus sign to the = sign making it a not equal sign.

I got the first two. I could only figure out the third way by making it 6-2=4 but you'd have to move two sticks. Now I realize you do 5+4=9! Clever...

You can take one of the "+" Mach sticks, and put it through the "=" to make it in equal. It is true, because the equation will not make 4. Or you can take the bottom vertical left hand stick of the six, and put it on top of the answer four

120 reduced is 1+2+∅
1+2 always equals 3
36+∅=48 which is 4
and to go a step further
4+3=7 +∅=∞
And 4+3 always ='s 0ne .......
Allow me to explain.
To me a number is not whole unless one unit holds a full dozen. If every # is missing an integer of .2 so for example:
∅=12
1=.10 +2=12
2=.20 +4=24
3=.30. +6=36
4=.40. +8=48
You can also get the same outcome by multiplying by 12
∅x12=∅
1x12=12
2x12=24
3x12=36
4x12=48
Take the bottom left stick from the six and put it on the four behind the equal sign making it 5+4=9

Actually there are four solutions (that I found). The two in the video and two more. Move the bottom left most vertical stick from the 6 to the four, making the 6 a five and the four a nine. 5 + 4 = 9. Also, take the vertical stick from the plus sign and move it over the equals sign. 6 - 4 ≠ 4. Boom!

6+4=4 so,
6 = 5,
4 = 4,
& 4 = 9

I can turn 6 + 4 = 4 into 5 + 4 = H. I took a stick from 6 and put it somewhere in the 4 which made H which means it's a variable and you need to solve what H is. In this equation H equals 9. H is a variable, you learn variables in 6th grade kids.

The third way to finish that first match stick puzzle is like this.
Take one of the match sticks from the addition simboll and put it across the eqauls simboll to make ≠ .
take one stick from the six (turning it into a 5) and place it on top of the 4 that comes after the equal sign, making it a 9.
Version 3 : 5+4=9
take the vertical match from the plus and put it diagonally on top of the equal sign

I only found the 3rd you take the lower left vertical match in the 6 to make it 5 and move it to the top of the 4 to make it 9. 6+4=4 -> 5+4=9
On the number six, move the bottom left stick onto the top of the four after the equals sign. Then you are left with 5 + 4 = 9.

Take the bit from the 6 that makes it a five and then use it to make the 4 a 9. So that the whole equation is 5+4=9
4+5=9. I found all of them in 10 seconds
Change the 6 into a 5 and put that match stick above the second 4 to create a 9, therefore making the equation 5+4=9
take the vertical stick from the plus sign and then make the equal sign an unequal sign
To 6 I will convert into 0 than it will be solved
You could take the bottom left math of the 6 to make it look like a 5. After that you could put the match from the 6 (formed into a 5) that you took onto the top of the answer 4 making it look like a 9.

the third one is removing a stick from 6 and adding it to the 4 in the RHS. it becomes 5+4=9

with the 6 take one stick away (it will be 5 if you moved the right one) and put that on top of the last 4 (malking it 9) 5+4=9!
