Like you said several times, I can’t imagine seeing what you have worked your life for just laying there as a pile of of something so valuable to you but in reality is worth nothing now. My heart is out to everyone effected and I’m glad you made it out okay. amazing video, I’m from ohio and hearing your accent is super soothing to me. Wish I was in a situation where I could load the truck up and head down there and help out where I could. Be careful out there bud!

Thanks for showing the West side of Amory! All of the news outlets ignored that sound of town, but it was hit just as hard. I could recognize a lot of my family's homes.

Every time I see these kind of videos memories just keeps flooding back from all of the EF2 through EF4 tornadoes that I had to be in during my life (especially the EF4 ones). Hopefully all that survived have a quick recovery from their disaster.

My Family lives in Waterloo Al and one of his friends is a river pilot who watched that storm as it moved and was aimed dead center on the town , it hit the cooler river water and it turned and nailed Florence instead . I can not imagine having to dig through a pile of ruble that was your house . I have been through two storms and they are no joke ,and they move fast !!! This storm happened at night which is absolutely the worst time as everybody is inside their homes . Thank you for the video , stay safe and be well .

I had to be in Jackson Tn. Sunday night and I’m in Tupelo tonight. Praying for all of y’all my man! I heard this evening that Rolling Fork is basically wiped off the map.

So so sad for the people who lost their family members and lifetime assets along with personal things 😢!!!! It’s like you said everything can disappear almost in a blink of a eye…. We had hurricane’s Katrina andRita come through our in East Texas and took 20:53 out a lot houses and timber and I lost large hay barn and equipment shed but all of the neighbors made it okay and no life’s lost which is the most important thing!!!!

    1. The wedding venue would be the lest of my concerns, I know the guy wants to get back to making money. But there are more important things to be taken care of. Remember 25 people lost there lives.
    2. I feel for the people of Amory, however the destruction there pails in comparison to what occurred in Rolling Fork and Silver City. Most of the residents of these town do not have anything to put a blue tarp on. You see a lot of concrete slabs with nothing on them in Rolling Fork. I took a pallet of water to Rolling Fork yesterday and the pictures just do not give the scope of destruction.
    3. Prayers to all that were affected.

I remember the night it happened as I live in smithville, once it went past smithville my family were one of the first responders who went out we were out there from about 12-1 AM until about 4-6 AM doing SAR and cleanup. It was just a wow to see first hand sad but spooky at the same time. I appreciate seeing it during the day time as you can’t see it during the night well I got more information from you then I did from being there night it happened.

    So much devastation.
The morning of the F-5 tornado outbreak in 2011, my mom's neighborhood in Vestavia, was hit by an F-1. She lost 4 huge old oak trees in her backyard right before it lifted back up. Luckily, they fell right between her house and my dad's old workshop at the edge of the property.

Pretty sure most if not all of them upcoming things planned is not going to happen because it devastated the city, so a wedding just doesn't make any since when you have nothing to even go home too. Going to take years for this community as Rolling Fork to recover!! God Bless

As bad as this is, (and I feel and am praying for them) in comparison to Rolling Fork, this town got off easy. You can at least identify buildings and homes. Rolling Fork looks like a 💣 bomb went off. I'm not even sure how you can begin to dispose of all those trashed homes, buildings, businesses, cars, semi-trucks, all tangled with trees, wires and the like. It's truly a miracle anyone survived. I can't even begin to comprehend the unseen mental damage this has done to both towns. If I lived in Rolling Fork, I would take my insurance money and rebuild somewhere you don't have to deal with 🌪 tornadoes.

Just a guess, but I have seen domes like that in cities around here. Usually they are covering the concrete pools at a sewage and waste water treatment plant. Or it could be to treat water from the mill from some kind of process. Sometimes they are used to contain and capture methane gas.

Watco (Port of Amory) handles bulk ores, petcoke (petroleum coke), steel , lumber, fertilizer and rock. The storage domes are used for keeping products dry and reducing the amount of dust that is blown around.

Man those huge trees with all those extended limbs are soooo dangerous to work up. Cut the wrong limb and the whole thing can roll over on you. Years ago one of our family friends was logging and cutting timber and that very thing happened to him. Cut a limb and the tree rolled , knocked him down and crushed his head. Wonder if they could be worked up from the top down using your lift?

As far as the wedding venues and non-essential businesses that support the absolute needs for living, I have little care for them. Their insurance will pay premium payouts to remove, rebuild, replace all things. Those that have weddings and proms scheduled can either relocate, postpone, or embrace the events of their time and include the wrath of mother nature. Each to their own but the real concern lies with those that had loved ones killed, their homes destroyed and are displaced. They come first and foremost.

After working on site in Amory just minutes after the tornado hit, I’m proud of country coming together to help each other in this difficult time. If people like Jerry would pull their heads out of their ass and stop the negativity, they might see what is really happening here with all people coming together. Sorry for the rant on some Tim, let me know if you need anything else to help you out in Amory.
