In the Twilight universe, vampires find their mate. It seems to be a unique and special experience for them, which explains Edward's intensity toward Bella. Perhaps from the human perspective, it's toxic, but I always figured that they're essentially a different species, any odd behavior from vampires gets a pass because they're more animal than human. They seem to mate forever, which if anything, is impressive since they stick by their mate through anything. I imagine that even if Alice and Jasper were experiencing co-dependency in their relationship, and if they had a problem with it, then they'd work through it in time. Since they're hundreds of years old, they'd have plenty of time to mature and work together to handle their differences. No relationship is perfect. Every relationship will have its ups and downs because we're all broken at some point. Now, I wonder what would happen if one of the mates changed their ideals, for example. The only relationship I can think of is between Laurent and Irina who were in the process of making a relationship. Before Laurent dies, he wants to kill Bella, which Irina can't believe, because he was trying to become a "vegetarian" like her. Would this have changed her perspective of him and would she not have wanted to mate with him? Now, in the case of Jasper and Alice, they met once Jasper was committed to changing his ways and becoming vegetarian. I can see how her gifts may have made it easier not to lose hope in his struggles to control his thirst for blood because she saw him do it. Now, if she didn't have those powers and she wasn't a vampire, then I guess the equivalent would be her believing in his ability to overcome his struggles so much that she could "see" it. But yeah, I see your point, because without the uncertainty of knowing, there's no faith. And that struggle of believing in each other and withstanding without knowing deepens a relationship and makes it more resilient. 🤔
I Personal think they love each other in a deeper crazy way. she had been waiting for him forever and he didn't expect to meet anyone like her. You don't need to change Alice's mood, she's exactly the opposite side of Jasper as a vampire; she would immediately see through him if he manipulated anything; even Bella could notice that as a human . Die beiden brauchen auch nicht viel reden , sie sind verbunden miteinander. I don't think Alice would allow herself to be manipulated. I think she saw that she could be happy with him and the Cullens, so she decided to wait for him to join the others. Jasper only knew "love" by manipulation beforehand. she doesn't need him for his gift. I don't see them with anyone else. Alice is so turned up, Jacob would kill her at some point. 😂
Is she knowing or showing and is he calming the response to this around them? There is an Alice everywhere in every culture AND a Jasper grounding and anchoring her.
I think they're co-dependent overall, they're way too happy like they never argue or seperate unless for a important occasion, seems forced just to keep the relationship going, they also can't socialise and meet new people/feel new experiences due to being vampires
No idea though i always wanted Jacob and Alice to somehow end up together 😔 there's so much that connects them
Well said depending on each other
True, I'm not entirely sure about Jasper's emotion controlling powers but it seems sketchy in their relationship, he could force any1 to love him

I love the deep dive twilight videos bingeing them atm but I just had to ask why do y’all pronounce Stephenie like that?
Because it's AI
Stephanie howcroft and Wayne your up Alice and Jasper
to me alice comes off as very controlling and manipulative. she seems to treat everyone as a doll. everything has to to go according to her will
