Love your videos!!! When we were kids we tried to figure out how to get one of those ore cars down, they were in better shape 50 yrs ago. The stacked stone building at 6:30 was the dynamite shed for the mine & at about 7:30 was the boarding house. My grandpa used to stay there in the 20's. My horse followed me in there once & there's a spring behind it, needless to say he sunk to his belly in the mud. If you go up Flat Creek past the old mill, there's a couple miners cabins & beyond that is the dam that produced electricity for the mine, Thanks for sharing your journey, makes me homesick.
I am so pleased you commented on this video especially since you have first-hand knowledge of the area. I was puzzled about that stone-front building but you filled in the blanks. I drove past the mill site as far as I could go but the underbrush took over the road before I found the cabins or the dam. I was reluctant to walk up the creek since I did not have bear spray with me. Next time I will be more prepared! I am pleased this video brought back good memories for you. Thanks again for your comments, I really appreciate it. Dave in Missoula.
David E....my favorite story teller. I always watch the videos to enjoy the trip and then go back a few times more to enjoy the editing. You are getting me motivated and giving me ideas, lol. Thanks!
indyme2 Jerry, you are too funny, story teller, but I really enjoy all of your comments! I am pleased that you are looking deeper at my videos to take-away what ever you find appropriate. Some videos are definitely a cure for insomnia so don’t look too deep! Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours and thanks for the friendship. Dave.
Quite an interesting spot there. Now this is north of Missoula I take it. I'm moving back to Montana soon. coming back home. Tired of the strange world of California. Hopefully I will get to visit some of these old ghost towns/mining towns like I used to when I was younger. Thanks much for the video, "davidegg22."!
Wesley, you are right on all accounts! This one-town mining district is only one hour west of Missoula. Many ghost-towns of western Montana can be viewed on my TH-cam channel; just waiting for you to explore in a few years. Thanks for viewing and commenting. Dave.
Its always fun to get out and explore new areas. Just north of Superior, Pardee is close-to-home for both of us. Thanks for commenting and stay safe exploring! Dave.
I have been meaning to go here, I am having trouble finding the exact location on the maps. Your video is so comprehensive its almost dissuading me from making the trip! Great Job
You are right, Pardee is elusive and was also hard for me to find. I now have a location of the town, the mine and the mill ruins. Please go up and explore someday since there is a lot more to uncover. Start at the ore chutes and walk the horizontal railbed east to the dumps above the mill. I hear that a few old rail ore carts are still up there and in fairly good shape since the wood sides were made of oak. If you find these interesting artifacts please notify me. Happy and safe exploring! Dave in Missoula.
If interested come visit us on FSR 320 way in there on Cedar Creek Rd this season. We're at Rainbow's End. Just beneath the Oregon Lakes. Beautiful area.
Awesome, I will certainly take you up on your offer this summer. I think I found your location on Google Earth on Cedar Creek Road. The last time I was in your neighborhood was in 2017, Rabbitt Creek drainage at the 1979 B17 crash site. Thanks for viewing and for the offer. Dave in Missoula.

I am in Missoula and I definitely want to check this one out. It would be fun to take my metal detector and see what I can find.
