He mentioned "harmonic EQing". This is just boosting frequencies that correlate to the key of the song. Look up H-EQ from Waves and you'll learn all about it. "Harmonic mixing" is what DJ's do when they mix songs in and out of each other. They try to make sure the next song they mix into the set is in a closely related key to the current song.
