THIS IS MY VERY FAVORITE SCHOTTIS WHAT IS THE NAME OF THE BAND PERFORMING ? THE MUSIC AND ALL OF THE FOLK DANCERS ARE S'WONDERFUL ; POSITIVELY THERAPUTIC = LAURA-why walk through life when you can 'd a n c e' !
In Minnesota, in the 90's this dance was selodom heard of. As a visiting Swede, I was extremely strange in most aspects. Well, not all. The gathered flock of you young women asked me ditt and that. They asked me if I thought in English, talking to them, was strange. I replied maybe uncertain, I try to think in English, talking to you, I said. I thought: How would you speak to me or think in Swedish or Norwegian even , speaking English as you are ? I can understand Norwegian a great bit, even mimic it a bit, as well as all Swedish dialects. I can also mimic some Danish and understand it, if it is from Köpenhamn.
SUCH BEAUTIFUL DANCING! and to great music. What a swing!
Does anybody know the name of the tunes the band are playing, or even better where I can get the sheet music.
Maybe Calle Jularbo or maybe it is generic Schottis.
