They call it the most dangerous place to be a pilot… We take you on a visually jaw-dropping and dramatic tour into the world of young British pilots flying around some of the most breath-taking, remote and dangerous locations on earth...
Indonesian airline, Susi Air, offers novice pilots who have as little as 250 hours of flying time an opportunity to rack up enough flying hours to land them a safer higher paying commercial airline job back home.
The pilots have to fly in the enormously testing outer regions of Indonesia, where the weather is constantly unpredictable, the runways are cut into the side of mountains and the remote airstrips are separated by miles of dense jungle. So are the risks worth it?
In this episode, Nick Holmes faces his final test flight. Pass and he will be flying passengers for real. Fail and he'll be heading home. We also see captain Dave Burns fly to pick up fresh line lobsters. Unfortunately, heavy clouds threaten to derail his plans of a smooth flight. Back on the ground Captain Burns is called for a meeting with fearsome airline boss Susi. The meeting could have a massive impact on Captain Burns future, he is left waiting to find out the outcome.

As long as the plane is landing on the runway in one piece it should'nt be a problem. They would'nt have passed him if he weren't ready

remember he's the most inexperienced pilot in his batch. They all get better with experience.

Remember just like doctors pilots need experience to be better. His training instructor's wouldn't have passed him if he didn't meet the company's competency requirements

Dan doesn't seem like a very good pilot what so ever, he seems arrogant, and his CRM is nonexistent with his clearly inexperienced co-pilot. How is this airline still operating !!

Why? Because the owner (Susi) is ex-minister (she was in office during the making of this video).
She is THE ONLY ONE government official dare to sink multiple Chinese ships in the current south china sea dispute/conflict, which something that Taiwan, Philippines, and Japan will never do, in fear of triggering a war. This is why she is highly regarded and worshiped in not just South East Asia, but WHOLE Asia.
She is so powerful, despite the quite bad stuff she did in Sumatra and South China Sea, PRC/China don't dare to do anything against her, and Japan, South Korea, UK and US government actively support her in whatever she's doing.
So let me ask you this, do you think there will be exist any other Indonesian government official dare to do something against her? or her possession, the airline?

the airline is needed because it is the only one that serves remote areas.
