      Hi Refugio, here is the website we used to apply for the e-visa. I would double check that what ever country you are from has the e-visa option as well. We were able to from Canada.

    Very informative video for a short run time! What type of clothing do you suggest for the weather? Do you have any suggestions? Could you give us a 2022 update of food, housing and utility expenses?

    • @midlifetravelbug
      @midlifetravelbug  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Jeremiah, we appreciate the support! We were in Hanoi at the start of November and it was shorts weather the whole time. The weather was very pleasant and not too humid during the days. Expect some overcast days with short bursts of rain occasionally.
      We stayed in the Old Quarter and there were plenty of options in the $20 - $30 per night range (this was our budget). However, you can go higher and get some very nice places. Our hotels were pretty basic with queen sized beds and a bathroom, but they were also very clean. Almost every place will have air conditioning. Utilities were covered in our stays.
      Restaurants vary in pricing (we used Google reviews for a lot of them), but we were spending under $30 per day for the two of us. We generally looked for the busy places with locals and tried the food there. We were not disappointed.
      I hope you have an amazing visit to Hanoi. It's a beautiful and busy place...we loved it and I'm sure you will too!
      Cheers :)

    Being a senior citizen I have to worry about finding a public bathroom when necessary. Can you comment on that? Nice video, thank you.

    • @midlifetravelbug
      @midlifetravelbug  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Massimo, thanks for watching and your support. We really appreciate it!
      As a bladder challenged guy myself, I always look around for some easy access bathrooms. I recommend carrying some pocket change with you as you will need some to get into some of the public bathrooms. I didn't really have any troubles finding a toilet and when in a panic, I usually walked into a restaurant and went straight to the WC signs. There are WC's (toilets/bathrooms) at all of the tourist spots as well. I also recommend carrying toilet paper, but that's my own personal preference...however it always comes in handy. Hope that helps!
      Cheers,
      Jim

      @@midlifetravelbug Thank you. Yes carrying some sort of wiping implement really gives you peace of mind, however it also gets you a few suspicious looks whe you go thru security in airports😁thanks again.

    Hello, will be there on November 30. May I ask the weather in Hanoi now? 😊

    • @midlifetravelbug
      @midlifetravelbug  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jane, we actually are in rainy Bali at the moment, but you can expect pretty comfortable days. Mainly overcast this time of year and periods of short showers. We found it very comfortable and most places will have air conditioning as well. Enjoy your trip, I'm sure you will love the city (with some chaos of course).
